Tigers shut out 3 times in the last 7 games. For a team that likes to brag on its so-called monster lineup, that's unacceptable. Only positive is it's happening in June and not in September or October.

Yeah, I don't blame Leyland at all for having Doogie start the 9th. Only at 92 pitches and was rolling pretty well. But it seemed to take a while for him to go to the pen when Fister did get into trouble. But when Smyly finally did get in, he immediately gave up a triple, so there's that.

And all would have been forgiven if the team had just scored some freaking runs. You manage differently protecting, say a 2-0 lead than coming into the 9th at 0-0.
