Not to mention were not gonna resign infante.......so its like losing prince, infante, and peralta......for kinsler and iggy......if i trusted nicky c i might feel a lil better......but ive never been a fan of prospects....especially detroit hitters.

Yeah me either. It's been easy getting used to prospects being flipped for proven players. Not too many hitting prospects have panned out for us in Detroit. In a Tigers uniform atleast. (We got to watch Infante struggle for years before he got shipped out and panned out. Granderson's prolly tops, but he definitely had his drawbacks)

I heard 50 million, but i hope youre right.....i think they jumped the gun.....to sign him.....and to now trade him.......put it in the books.....miggy is walked a ton.....and vmart hits into sooooooo many DP's fans will be wishing fielder was still here. Not to mention, prince will kill us in the future.

I see all the texas fans are happy

$50MM seems really steep but I heard there might be another player in the deal.

Tigers still have the possibility to move Porcello (or if they want a better return - Fister) to get a 3B or upgrade in the LF.

Plus, with Fielder's money being subtracted....I wonder if Detroit will consider signing Choo?

The Fielder trade was great.. Granted Kinsler is not someone I would want over Infante, but maybe they resign Infante and move Kinsler to third? That would totally upgrade the defense..

Granted Kinsler isn't the greatest fielder.. If they are likely out on Infante, then they need to find a 2nd Baseman.. Of course Kinsler will hit leadoff.. I wonder if the Tigers make more moves..

The key to this trade is 4 years down the road when the Tigers will NOT be paying Fielder $24mil a year. The Tigers took a shot that over-paying Fielder would help bring a championship in 2012 and/or 2013. It didn't work. At least they shed a bad contract.

I still think they couldve dumped him on someone later and gave them another chance next year......now if we get choo....it was worth it......but we still need a LF 3B and RP's

I'd LOVE our lineup if we land Choo. Hell... I'd love our outfield too. (He'd replace Fielder for me as fan. Im big on Chooey)

Kinsler isn't what he was 3-4 years ago but he is hardly a liability. Good arm and should turn a ton of DP's with Iggy. What are you talking about? do you mean they need to find a 3rd baseman?

With a good spring, Nick C starts in left. We need a 3B and lots of pitching. I still think Porcello and Nick C might get packaged. Scherzer is staying!

Tigers need to find a closer. And improve their choices at 3B or LF . Getting Choo - or not - might be a good indication of what the plans are for Illitch Family money, in the near future. I'd like to see them get Choo, but unless Detroit can fill one of their other holes through trade...I would understand if they don't spend big this off season.

My worry is after next year and tori and vmart are gone.....our lineup will be weak.....sure hope we got our eye on one more decent position player.....im pretty confident nathan will sign with detroit....but we still need LH BP help

I don't see Choo coming. I see Porcello being traded for a 3B or RP and possibly packaged with Nick C for both. Nathan sounds like he is destined for DTW.
