I read the articles on mlive.. because the writers there are actually pretty good.. but I don't even look at he posters.. most there are clowns that know little about the team outside of what mlive tells them.

I agree with Tui.. he was a career AAAA player ala Clete Thomas before this spring.. he had a nice hot bat for a while.. it is done.. get him out of there and bring of Castellanos when he is back from his injury... he has nothing else to learn in AAA and will be 1000 times better than tui, dirks, or what ever other fart face plays lf at this point... On the other note.. Castellanos was hit in his hand and has not played since Sat.

Dirks, Tui, and AL AL, can all be sent packing for all I care... Dotel, Castellanos, and who ever else they want to give a few at bats can easily out perform what those turds have been doing for the last month or more.

I still like dirks....he is what he is. Nothing great. Cant have studs everywhere.....wonder if jhonny can play LF......he could be a good righthanded bat vs lefties in the playoffs. Take 2E spot......i liked 2E.....didnt expect him to hit like he was...but i expect him to do decent vs the lefties....his speed and dee are below avg...so if he losses his stroke vs lefties, he has nuthin left to offer....cant wait to see if nicky c comes up and can handle LF and mlb pitching. Im never the one to have faith in prospects. So many 90's and early 2000 prospects that flamed out in our organization......remember when justin thompson was sposed to be our savior? Or pittaro and lovullo.....raul cassanova? Hell even tony clark....i thought he was gonna be a stud and hit 30-35 hr's on an average. Lets hope nick follows JV instead of those guys.

See.. that is the difference with back in the day cleaves... Castellanos won't have to be the savior. Miggy is the man on this team and will be as long as he is here. Castellanos just needs to come up and hit .280+ with league average defense in LF and he is a major upgrade... which is totatlly doable. If he actually is as good as they say... its just a bonus to have a cheap player perform well. Dirks never was a top prospect.. does nothing well.. and is just a wasted spot on the 40 man at this point. Dirks played above his head in a small sample last year... reality hit.. he is trash... I would rather see Delmon out there than Dirks or Tui at this point. At least he hit decent in the playoffs.

Bad teams need prospects to pan out... Good teams just need them to fit into a role... Tigers are in a different world than they used to be... A guy like Castellanos can come up and be a Matt Joyce and would be a huge help... he doesn't need to hit like Miggy. Castellanos has nothing else left to learn in AAA at this point.. might as well get him healed up from his injury to his hand and bring him up in Sept and play him daily over fecal Dirks or Tui.

Royals starting pitchers avg 3.5 era 1.3 whip
White sox avg era 3.74 whip 1.25
Indians avg era 3.8 whip 1.1

Davis's 5.3 and 1.7 is really dragging royals down

I used current rotations, while the white sox might be "pitching their asses off" its only to the tune of third place stats the eras of white sox and indians are very close indians much better whip, royals starting pitching doing better. White sox overall are awful, while their starting pitching might be better than lineup and defense they still arent great.

Tigers era 3.4 whip 1.15

I still see royals as bigger threat over indians. Era and whip dont lie. Wade davis by far worst starting pitcher out of bunch. I did include kluber but did not include salazar although he will be very impressive.

Third place stats out of the indians royals and sox that is fourth in division, didnt even measure twins, hell the sox could have worst starting pitching stats in division although i doubt the twins is better.

Whatever it is that Prince had going on in his personal life.... Is none of my business. It's not Torii Hunters business to be telling folks about it either.

I didn't see much more than heat from Salazar... I am betting after teams see him a few times.. he won't look so impressive unless he gets a 2nd and 3rd plus pitch. Only so far a fastball gets a starting pitcher. He had 4 hr's in his last two games by the way. It doesn't take long to figure out a pitcher with one plus pitch. He is young and could still develop.. but at this point. I am not sold that he is anything special.

I thought the same thing. I like Hunter.. but sometimes.. he should just keep stuff in the clubhouse.

Yeah i happen to disagree bronco, beyond sale the white sox dont have much. I think u meant quintana. I think the indians starting rotation is better than anyone elses in division besides detroit but overall the rotations in the central are unimpressive. The royals pen and lineup though are something else.

Why do you like the Royals lineup so much Laker? They have a enough solid hitters,(Gordon, Butler, Hosmer if you're so inclined...) but no punch. Nobody to fear. No power to speak of really. (No Will Myers) But I agree on their bully. (I did mean Quintana. My phone might have A.C.d it to Quintanilla... Idk why it does that with names. I don't even know any Andres, but my phone sure thinks my friend Andrea likes to be called that). Chris Sale is good enough for me to like the Sox rotation, even if John Danks is still in it.

Most definitely. I like that he talks to the media and gives an actual opinion quite often. But.... Another mans personal life doesn't need to be mentioned. Not to save him grief, not to make excuses. It should definitely not be something hinted to with the media. Prince seems like a man who goes out of his way to avoid being any more of a celebrity than he already is. What little privacy he still has should be respected.

Does anyone else laugh every time Giambi comes up and hits a HR.. I am sorry.. I just can't believe that he is still on a mlb team.. and that mlb pitchers can't get that guy out every time...

I think it's funny that he would have retired if the Rockies had went ahead and named him manager. I do respect that he's still playing, at a very low, limited level. When a decade ago he had elevated himself to elite status by juicing. Maybe he feels like he owes it to baseball. Or maybe he really loves the game that much. I don't know. But I do know the Indians have less talent than last season, and he is but one example. Their lucky butts should be around a .500 ball club, and hopefully they are within the next six weeks.

Yankees have been hitting like they found the fountain of youth the last few days... I would love to see them snag the 2nd wild card so that the tigers would get them first round.. that would be awesome.

Castellanos just needs to come up and hit .280+ with league average defense in LF and he is a major upgrade
He isn't hitting .280 in Toledo and is an average outfielder there......he jumps to the Tigers and pow...great stuff happens.....That is alot to expect of an untested player.....

Most top prospects that are held in AAA struggle with focus.. look at Wil Myers.. AAA numbers don't worry me much... and defense in AAA translates to the mlb... he will be about a league ave LF... He most likely will be an above average hitter in the league from what I have seen in spring training. I doubt the tigers would have held onto him this long if they didn't believe it.. as they seem to have no fear in trading prospects.

I take .260 from him honestly.. that would be an improvement over dirks or tui at this point... but I think when Castellanos gets called up.. he is going to take off like a rocket... just my opinion. I think Castellanos is every bit as talented at the plate as Wil Myers... I have seen both live.. they are comparable, but wil myers is a little older and a little more developed in power.

WhiteCaps are getting no hit again...

Tigers depth in the farm is not good enough to produce good teams in the low a minors... not surprising. Not concerning either... top prospects spend very little if any time at low a ball.

And.. there are no top hitting prospects there other than harold castro.. its where a lot of the younger tigers pitching prospects are.. which has no bearing on them getting no hit.. I think all the tigers top hitting prospects are in erie and lakeland outside of castellanos if I am not mistaken.

As I post that.. Harold Castro gets the second hit... He is young and super raw.. but scouts like him. Some have him in the tigers top 15... some don't though... I think he is 18 or 19. Which mlb team owns the Lansing Lugnuts?
