I find it amusing on mlive how many so called tiger fans are piling on fielder.....i think him hitting 300 was the worst thing to happen to him....people are actually getting on him about his avg.....he was never a 300 hitter......id be more worried about the 17 HR's......seems like it was a long time ago since his last HR.....but the guy gives his all.....and he does many other things....the guy will come around i believe...plus he has a great eye for a power hitter.

Didi you read what Torii Hunter had to say about him the other day? If not, he alluded to the fact that Fielder is dealing with some off the field drama, and kind of said he was surprised that he was playing and able to contribute at all this year.

He did not mention any specifics, but I would guess 3 things to be said issue: Trouble with the wife or ex, issues with the kid (health, money), or, with his dad.

Cleaves dont go on mlive then. Yeah fielder is struggling in many ways, and eventually that extra weight is going to catch up to him. But for now hopefully he can get back on track for playoffs. Everyone not named miggy goes through slumps.


Also is it bad that raburn is a better option to pitch than albuquerque. In other news release 2e. Dotel should get al al off of the roster and that will leave the tigers biggest weakness in the pen being coke. I havent given up on him yet.

Yeah i happen to disagree bronco, beyond sale the white sox dont have much. I think u meant quintana. I think the indians starting rotation is better than anyone elses in division besides detroit but overall the rotations in the central are unimpressive. The royals pen and lineup though are something else.

I just wanted to note that Benoit looked incredible today... I know he had a small blip in the 9th.. but just watching him... in the 8th and the last 2 outs of the 9th.. his stuff was completely nasty... and he seemed to be completely confident in the situation... he is really starting to get locked in... I know he wasn't perfect.. but man I got excited watching him.. not like years past where I held my breath with Valturde

I read the articles on mlive.. because the writers there are actually pretty good.. but I don't even look at he posters.. most there are clowns that know little about the team outside of what mlive tells them.

I agree with Tui.. he was a career AAAA player ala Clete Thomas before this spring.. he had a nice hot bat for a while.. it is done.. get him out of there and bring of Castellanos when he is back from his injury... he has nothing else to learn in AAA and will be 1000 times better than tui, dirks, or what ever other fart face plays lf at this point... On the other note.. Castellanos was hit in his hand and has not played since Sat.

Dirks, Tui, and AL AL, can all be sent packing for all I care... Dotel, Castellanos, and who ever else they want to give a few at bats can easily out perform what those turds have been doing for the last month or more.

Yeah i read that on mlive....a few of the media tried to blow it up as a tori, prince feud now.....but tori said while waiting to go on a radio show, he heard so called tiger fans getting on fielder....so when he got on he stuck up for fielder saying fans dont know wht players are facing off the field....and he left it at if prince wants u to know, he will tell you....its his right to if he WANTS too.....i love tori....hes such a great vet to have. You cant over look his and vmarts leadership on this team....then add in 2 players like prince and miggy who never miss games....tigs had to pry miggy off the field last week....the guy cant even run and hes going out there in a day game after an extra inning night game.....some fans just need to complain

Im not going to worry about fielder....imagine how good this team would be if he was hitting his 30-35 HR's.....now if he keeps this up for another year or 2.....then id worry.....im one of the guys who doesnt worry too much about fielders future.....there has never been a guy his size, with a quick bat,(short arms), who runs decent, to really base anything off.....look at big papi still doing it.....plus the guy never gets injured. Besides its baseball...if in 6 yrs the tigers stink and are trying to shedd salary....some team like the yanks or even white sox would make some kind of deal to take him off our hands.....i see him doing OK in detroit......hopefully retiring a tiger with a great career and at least ONE WS.

The white sox starters have pitched their asses off this year....its the fielding and offense that has killed them....they got like 54 unearned runs given up this year.....they had 30 ALL of last year....alot of lefties. Outside of crain their BP has killed them also....
