We will see him at the very end if the regular season also. I don't follow the logic that he's being selfish by not fighting/appealing. (I keep hearing that about he and Cruz) When he returns later this season, the Tigers will have a deep roster. I'd rather he miss time now, than in October.

No guarantee though.. if iglesias is hitting well or jhonny looks like crap when he returns for the last series.. there is a good chance he doesn't make the playoff roster... I think the only way you see peralta back with the tigers this year is if iglesias struggles. I would put it at about 20% chance Peralta comes back next year... stranger things have happened.. but I would say its closer to 50/50 that he never plays again for detroit. You won't see DD drop a guy off the roster to add peralta if the team is doing well.. who gets dropped? Santiago? i doubt iglesias doesn't make the playoff roster unless he really struggles bad... with peralta and infante back.. someone would have to be kept off.

Funny thing said on sportscenter... Has there ever been a time that a team and its front office and owners hated a player and didn't want him on the team more than arod now? They can't just get rid of him without paying his contract.. so they have to just sit there and watch him... its funny.

I guess im a small island, but i actually like allen.....hes a homer, but he will give the other teams credit....hawk will cry over one pitch in the 2nd inning until the end of the game. I like stone because he will always oppose hawk....they dont care for each other...

Other announcers i liked from watching all the announcers.....loved mark grace....GASSSSSS.......love vin scullys HOF voice....reminds me of the old days and ernie harwell.........even liked when gibby was detroits....he gave great insight to the players thoughts and what happens on teams.....like the A's guys too. Forgot their names...

Cant stand the hawk and the boston guys...think one is jerry remy.....also, the twins guys will put you to sleep...think its blylevin?

I think peralta stays in playing shape....he can workout with team still if he wants...he wont do that immediately though. He will return for miami series to see if hes in game shape, and hopefully have one last hurrah with the tigs. On MLB as i type the commentators are saying its going to come down to what iglesias does, but they all see detroit taking peralta back. Unless iglesias puts up great numbers.

Not to keep bringing up harrelsson, but man the guy is in love with ramon santiago.....says how GREAT of a player he has been with the tigers..didnt stop talking about the guy all weekend......too bad he wasnt the GM of the sox....we could give him his man.

I always try and avoid the injuns, twins, and royals channels....they all seem boring...plus i want them to lose....so i watch the team they are playing channel....boy was miami bad...so dull

when i watch marlins games.. i basically just leave the sound on for background noise... I feel bad for them.. they had the job of selling to the fans what the team was trying to do.. when everyone was pissed at Loria... Now.. people can start to see what Loria was doing.. not saying he was right to sell after saying he would spend on the team.. but he was right to get rid of the guys he did.. and got better young talent back that reloaded them for a run... Marlins announcers haven't had a lot of reasons to be hyped up.. so they are not. Sad thing is I am one of the few marlins supporters around here.. and I am a tigers fan. I try to get my friends to take their kids up to the games and get them into the team and game.. have to fight these people.. but I had to do the same thing with the Heat before Lebron, now they are "Huge Heat fans"... I am not a Heat fan.. never was.. but I live here and had season tickets to both the Heat and Marlins at one point so that I could enjoy going to games.. I feel strongly that people in a city need to support their team... My daughter will be a tigers fan.. but I will surely be taking her to marlins games and try to give her pride in the city she was born in like my parents did. If she turns out to be a bigger Miami fan than Detroit.... so be it...

Keeping my fingers crossed that Iglesias does a decent job of hitting the last two months, so Detroit can stay away from reactivating Peralta for the playoffs. My hope is that, if Detroit goes to the World Series, the 'stink' of Peralta will not be a big story. Yes he admitted his mistake...but he let down the team and should not awarded a post-season appearance - which may help him get a better 2014 contract with (probably) another team.
