Bonderman who in in 9 IP gave up 3 hits and no walks is an improvement over Evan reed . was Okay with a whip of 1.33 and an era of 3. Tigers feel Bondo is an improvement over Reed.

lets be serious though. Bonderman isn't replacing Benoit, Veras or Smyly. He slides into the sixth/seventh inning role with Al and JB went 2 innings each in his last 2 appearances.

If that kid the SouthSiders sent out there today can cruise with two pitches as a starter, Maybe Bondo can do the same out of the pen? I'm not holding my breath, but he'll give everything he's got. Always did. And he's got plenty of experience pitching when it matters.

Just watched the end on my dvr. Had to leave. Ummmmm.....why was smyly left in to face the righty konerko? Isnt jimmy a lefty lefty righty righty kinda guy? Veras was a fucking closer THIS year. Just bring him in to face konerko.....smyly did his job....struck out dunn....well at least we finally won a small ball extra inning game.

Man hawk harrelsons gonna have a heart attack......he was so mad today.....especially when de aza didnt tag from 3rd. He yelled so loud at de aza. Thought he might of even heard him down there. He called them the worst base-running team..,,,,,EVER! Lol. Great to see him pissed.....hes aging faster now.

I was at the game, and everyone sitting around me (except for our spouses) wondered why Smyly was pitching to Konerko. He was career 4-for-6 off Smyly. Hell, even my wife said as soon as Konerko got to the plate, "he's gonna hit a home run." But then, my wife thinks Konerko is hot.

And I have to agree with Cleaves ... why did we make the deal for Veras if he can't get bum LH hitters like Gillaspie and Danks out?

Oh well, a win is a win.

I dont really have a huge issue with smyly facing konerko. The logic behind it made sense and he was facing konerko with bases empty and konerko is having an awful year. Just like veras should be able to get out lefties so should smyly be able to get out righties. It really wasnt something i would nitpick about.

The Chisox baserunning was indeed a clown show yesterday. The mistakes were made by veteran players, too, making it appear that the team has completely lost its focus.
