reports on Bondo are. Slider a little curvy, not as sharp. Fastball still not there as he still not 100 % recovered from surgery and he is using the splitter as the third pitch instead of the change. So he could help in the pen.

I believe Jurgens pitches in Toledo tomorrow. Not really seeing him contribute in detroit this season.

Fox Sports is saying that the Tigers and Giants are in trade discussions. Naturally they are not saying for whom. Javier Lopez would help. Maybe Marco Scutaro? Hunter Pence for LF? I sure hope they aren't just rehashing the old Lincecum rumors.

You guys in a keeper league?

I never draft any good pitchers....all hitters...try and get one decent pitcher around the 4-5 th round......i always pick up free agents who have 2 starts. Works pretty well i must say. I been playing since 01 and have 3 titles. Sometimes it backfires around playoff time. Just have to make a trade before trade deadline to get a starter. But now alot of people in our league try and copy that......gotta be ready on mondays once the lineup gets locked to drop and pickup for the next week.....back in the old days, you used to have to do research who would have 2 starts. Now cbs added the stupid 2 start link to help the lazy ones/copy cats out.

I'm in a couple keepers. This one isn't though. I usually am right with you on hitters cleeves. But this year I picked last in almost every draft, took Kershaw in four out of five. CBS used to have great fantasy stuff. (Sportsline)That's the only reason I ever started going to that site. But man did they ever turn shitty.

I agree, thats the only way i found out about sportsline was fantasy baseball.....we were stubborn with football.....we didnt put football online until 2004ish. We used to keep scores ourselves. I remember our first year. In 96, we used to have to wait until mondays paper to do the stats and see who won. My friend got a fantasy football scoresheet from a friend of his that worked at the post office. To this day we use the same scoring system, almost. I think alot of these leagues look boring that just give you points for TD's and a few points for yards. Weve always had 2 points for a reception. Marshall faulk was the man back in the day. Prolly the best fantasy player ever for our league. Im due for a superbowl win this year. I havent won since 2005. I had won 4 in a row from 99-03.

It's a case of best of the worst, but yes, I'd trust Bondo for one inning over those two guys.

I see JL is going to continue to run Dirks out there, despite the fact that Tuiasosopo has more RBI (27) in about 100 at-bats than Dirks has (24) in 300 at-bats. Oh, and Dirks with a stellar .304 OBP / .348 SLG PCT, versus .419/.573 for Tui.

WTF??????

Went online in 99 with football. Not til 03 I think for baseball. My dad ran the baseball league and my uncle the football one from the early 80s on. Same thing, taking box scores adding up totals, player by player, team by team. I still did mine out of the newspaper to check on Mondays til probably 06 or 07. That was the last thing that kept me buying the paper. We get two per catch or carry, and a point per for receiving and rushing. Lots of points! And we start six guys on D. Took till Wednesday for the points totals:)

It doesn't even make sense when you look at splits. Tui hits .344 off RHPs (albeit a small sample - 32 ABs), and .282 off LHPs. Dirks is .255 vs. RHPs and .196 off LHPs.

There's a reason they have that popular definition of "insanity".

Agreed. I've been saying it for the past two years. The Tigers win games because of superior talent. JL has nothing to do with the Wins. He does factor into our loses.
