New Orleans' offense gets exposed for what it really is today.

Nice win for the Lions today.

Graham is playing. That worries me a bit. If he was not playing I would say comfortable win for the Lions, but now I would be a bit on the fence.


I have no confidence in our offense at this point, even against one of the worst defenses in the league. Although in all fairness to the Saints, it is their crappy DC that makes them that bad. Talent wise they are not bad on D.


Our Defense can still hold them pretty well anyway. I doubt they put up 40 on us. I can see holding them to around 30 even with Graham. Without him they would not score much more than 20 and that would be much more easily attainable for our offense. Heck our defense might even put up some points again today.


Keeping my fingers crossed because these next 2 games will determine if we make a run at the playoffs or regress back to what we were last year.

Calvin not out officially, yet. Looks like hes trying pretty hard to play. Sounds like a 50/50 chance. Personally, I'd rather him just sit.

The Saints have won 2 games, both at home, against 2 of the worst teams in the league. 4 out of their 5 games they've given up 24+ points. Someone said they were talented on D but Rob Ryan sucks. Rob Ryan may suck but so does most of their defensive players. I think they are last with a -8 turnover margin. There is no good reason for the Lions to lose this game and if the O can get on track against this awful D they should win big. I'm going 27-16 Lions.

The offense still sputtered against a weak defense last week. Lions run game needs to keep TOP in our favor. So Bell and Winn need big production IMO. Yet this offense can put up points. The defense will have to dominate once again for a W.

Jimmy will see limited snaps. keep the Saints out of red zone and might not see Jimmy very much.

Took the Vikes last week and hope I am wrong again. Saints win 27-23

Which I feel is what Jimmy is doing to Lions...Jimmy does play and he will see limited action IMO. That TE Hill has done good in his absence.

Man, I hope we make them pay for starting Graham. I'd have a LB or Safety jamming him at the line as hard as they can on every single play. Nothing will put more stress on a sprained AC joint than trying to beat a jam. That's all upper body strength, and that motion all flows right through the shoulder. Then I'd be targeting him a bit higher than normal (gotta be careful not to blast him in the head, though) and going for shots on that shoulder as much as possible.

I'm not saying be cheap or dirty, but as long as the hits are clean and between the whistles there's nothing wrong, imo, with targeting a start player who is less than 100%. The Saints know the risk of playing him injured, so the Lions shouldn't have to worry about playing nice. I'd love to see Suh get a clean look at him on a TE screen...

That offense looks real stagnant on paper. Baldwin, Kearse and Lynch aren't what I think of as playmakers. And I don't see Wilson having a huge day on the ground against that line.

In other news: Percy Harvin is my new favorite player.
