Leno not being the answer
More like the "other" areas have been so bad, the OL has not been scrutinized and as you mentioned, TH's ability to run offsets some pressure. W/O Scherr or Cosmi, this unit is NOT top 5 or anywhere near that. Ageed, someone else can pay Scherff because Schweitzer has been outstanding and so has Flowers. The rest of the group has been marginal.Word. Fuck Scherff. 5th year in a row he won't play a full season and always starts the season slow/comes up with killer penalties early on. Collectively speaking though the OL hs probably been the best unit on the team. Or atb the very least, the most surprising unit. Taylor's ability to elude the rush helps them out for sure, but what many said would be a possible problem area has been pretty solid thus far.
I wouldn’t say he is having a bad yrGib is just not an inside runner. In fact he isnt a true RB at all. they saw his size and speed and thought they could convert him into a RB. He is having a very bad season.
What? Gibby has the potential to tear the top off a defense. He does very well with what's happening up front because regardless of others opinions of our oline, its not great. The fumbling issue is his to own but I'm staying high on Gibby, if only because he owns the Boys and we really have nothing behind him.Gib is just not an inside runner. In fact he isnt a true RB at all. they saw his size and speed and thought they could convert him into a RB. He is having a very bad season.
Not true their rankings are very good individually and togetherMore like the "other" areas have been so bad, the OL has not been scrutinized and as you mentioned, TH's ability to run offsets some pressure. Ok please show this stat. Leno has been serviceable nothing more, Flowers definitely has been up to par, Rollier has been solid, Schweitzer the same filling in for Scherff and a combination at RT which Cosmi has flashed. I would rate this unit as average in run block, above avg in Pass Pro. As bad as the unit is collectively, meaning the offense, it is what it is... Don't believe everything you read or hear dad.Not true their rankings are very good individually and together
The o/line has been at the top 7 level all yr long even with subs
Gibby has to be better, period!
An Adrian Peterson jump or skip at the appropriate moment would've been nice. Hard to fault anybody on that play though. Just one of those things that seem to happen to bad and/or struggling teams and the Skins fit in both categories.
So the Patterson experiment is finished?
Thinking it’s more depth for a shin that won’t heal without restSo the Patterson experiment is finished?
It's one of the things that I look at when scouting running backs. The great ones see everything, the not so great tend to look more towards their dominate side. Right handers look forward and to the right, left handers do the opposite. The good news is that Gibson is a novice and can learn.
I felt this way at points LAST year too. Feel like JD is underutilized and why are you not using Patterson with this shin issue. That shin won't heal before the season is over.
JMO but McKissick has been the most valuable back and most versatile.
