If they were to cut or trade Latimer for a bag of Doritos I would be fine with it .

Fowler is deserving to be way ahead ... I will say this he does fit Kubiak / Os Fooball Scheme of west coast ?!?

Do we want to keep him or fire sale him ?

The Broncos are 1 game away from getting a Defensive Starter back from suspension! I wonder how much playing time Wolfe is going to get with just how good all these guys have done in his place.
Damn, the D has been so good I forgot about Wolfe. Hopefully the rich get richer.

Alright so some interesting thoughts on this one...

Bennie Fowler this was somewhat a home coming type game for him being from Michigan and going to Michigan State. Glad to see him get on the field and contribute in a big way. Hopefully he just continues to build on this.

Bruton said he knew exactly what route they were running and where the ball was going before the ball was even snapped on his interception. From the sound of these guys talking the Secondary has really kicked it up a notch in their film room time compared to last year. Harris and Talib were both great at getting into the film room but the rest of the group wasn't always as consistent. Same with Roby in Talib was bragging about how much Roby is just asking questions and watching as much film as possible to prepare for these games. He wants to be known as one of the top Corners in the league and well he has great mentors to get there.

I know that Miller did not show up a ton in the stat line but he did actually receive PFF's highest grade for a Bronco in this game. He graded out with a +6.4. He was doubled almost the entire game yet still got pressure and was huge in the run game of not giving up the edge and forcing a lot of runs his way back towards the middle.

Roby had the 2nd highest grade with a +3.7. Manning is next with a +2.4.

Juwan Thompson did not return to the game last night but his neck injury is considered to be minor. He maybe will miss a game but that would be worst case scenario from what I am hearing.

Fresh legs are always good . He will see plenty time ..

Juwan Thompson I still like better than all our RB's .. I would start him .

A really cool stat is the Broncos are only the 2nd team in the last 10 years to only allow 1 touchdown pass through the first 3 games. The other was the historic 2013 Seattle Seahawks.

Another little defensive stat gem. The Broncos defense has allowed only six 3rd down conversions by their opponents through 3 games. Just imagine if they could extrapolate that out over a season (2 per game). Unbelievably stout so far!

Another interesting fact. It took the Broncos 9 games last season to get to 10 turnovers. We are on pace right now for 53 turnovers for the season. Last year the league leader was Houston with 34. Good chance we don't quite keep at this pace but this defense has shown to be quite the turnover machine. Heck there were probably another 3-4 passes that could have easily been picked off if just an inch or two another direction. How Calvin Johnson caught that one pass that Talib was sitting on is beyond me.

Turnovers by the defense get to be contagious. I love how this Bronco team plays - even better - or I should say - much better than the all time NFL offensive stats put up a couple of years ago.

As for the game last night. Still love what I see from this Broncos defense. Aggressive, fast, gang tackling, causing turnovers and T. J. Ward, Bruton, and Stewert playing at a high level at safety. Talib overall did a good good job on Calvin Johnson. Really didn't give up the big play. Sly was a beast and even Vance Walker was making plays. Imagine this D line with Wolfe back. Marshall great game as well and always in position to make a play. Ware looks as good as he did 10 years ago hopefully he doesn't slow down but I like the way Wade Phillips is keeping guys fresh by using the depth the Broncos have. Roby great hands on the interception. The defense must cut down on the penalties. The one on Miller was b.s. As for the offense I did like the pass blocking overall but the Lions D line isn't what it was the last few years so not sold yet. The running game has to get going. I don't care you the main guy is at RB but they need to establish the run. Can't win playoff games without running the ball. Good to see a 3rd wr get more involved with Fowler. I'm not saying Fowler is better or going to be as good but with his body type he reminds me of a young Rod Smith. I would like to see Virgel Green involved more in the offense as well. A guy that big with decent speed needs to be used more. Good to see Manning get a few deep throws because it will be needed as the year goes by. Teams will just have there d line stand there with hands up knocking balls in the air knowing its just short quick passes. The pistol formation seems to having Manning more comfortable in the offense. Still a lot to work on and I still don't think Denver has played at there best which is scary for the rest of the NFL if the running game gets going and the o line gels. Go Broncos!!

Nice to see a Gators fan in Wisconsin joining a Gators fan in Iowa as Bronco fans. :)

The way I look at it - with Peyton in there - the pass will always what sets up the run game (the opposite of what Kubiak would like). There is not point in running play action when you pass so many times.

I like the Pistol for Peyton Manning - against the Lions there was a mini pocket behind the GCG and it held well enough for Peyton to get his step into the ball. It allows for a better run game than a full shot gun snap - and Manning's ability to make a quick decision can make an offense like that go.

Von Miller - zero tackles - zero assists - Looks like they ran away from Miller.

Also - Brandon Marshall 10 tackles - 2 assists - D. Trevathan 1 tackle 3 assists. They didn't want to try Trevathan -either.

Miller has got to be frustrated as all get up .. He had a sack took away ... he is missing a lot of tackles .. all going on in a contract year.. As good as Von is I am amazed he has not had a game were he get 4 or 5 sacks a game he needs to slow down just a little be a little more methodical .

He looks as rood as his Rooky and 2nd year ..maybe better .. to many missed tackles but he blows up so many plays it isn't funny .. This is going to be a contract killer type a thing .

Von Miller will get his as the season goes on. He is too dynamic not to. And so far, teams are scheming around him a bit. Now that every other player on defense has been making huge play after huge play, that should stop. The defense just has a lot of play-makers, but to undervalue what Miller brings to the defense would be foolish. He has been making a lot of plays that don't show up on the stat lines.

Von Miller is perfect for this defense, and vice versa. He's a beast. He's going to get his sacks, and when he's not getting sacks, he's still having a huge effect on offenses.

Von Miller was the highest ranked Bronco from Sunday night's game according to Pro Football Focus, with a +6.4. Although he didn't rack up traditional stats, he was virtually unblockable the entire game. Making it more difficult on him was the fact that he was double teamed almost the entire game. Even with that, he had a lot of quarterback pressures and hits. He was also instrumental in stopping the run game. He may not be getting the sacks but he's wreaking havoc on opposing offenses and making all of his teammates look better. I'm not worried about Von at all!

Look at how often teams are leaving DeMarcus Ware one on one against the LT. The reason such a premier player has those type of opportunities is because there is an even better premier player on the other side in Von Miller. Teams are putting the RB on that side or a TE to help out more so than against Ware.

I would also point out just look at how quickly QB's are getting rid of the ball against our defense. Teams can't go deep against us because they don't have time and even when they do the QB is so freaked out he just goes to his quickest route. It is why Aqib Talib in every game has just done the off man coverage where he sits that about 7-10 yards off and just watches the QB waiting for them to make that huge mistake and get rid of the ball as quickly as possible. Against the Lions he should have had about 3 picks in that game. This defense fits his skill set probably better than any other player in my opinion.
