I think ownership will be hesitant to go with another first time HC, especially younger one. I think the only way that happens if there is a plan to bring an experienced former HC to consult and advise.

Yes

Hackett’s fatal flaw was bringing in a whole fleet of noobs. You don’t have to be POTM to imagine what kind of sh!tshow will ensue with that kind of lineup. No seasoning whatsoever. That’s on Paton. Stinking pile sitting right on his lap. Live and LEARN!!

So far I have seen reports we want to interview the following candidates:

Sean Payton
Jim Harbaugh
Raheem Morris
DeMeco Ryans
Ejiro Evero
Dan Quinn

Interesting that so far, we are looking for for defensive HCs outside of Payton and Harbaugh.

Other than Kellen Moore(who I don’t think we want) I don’t know any up and coming OC’s we’d want to take a look at anyways.

Eagles OC is being tossed around and there is the perennial Bieniemy. Trying to think of others that might be worthwhile.

I’ll be surprised if we hire a coach who doesn’t have HC experience. That would eliminate Ryans and Evero from this list.

Only OC I'm interested in is Ken Dorsey. The man who built Josh Allen.

We interviewed Harbaugh virtually yesterday and we’re doing Evero today in person.

Apparently the interview with Harbaugh went 2 hours but the fact that it was a virtual interview makes me think we aren’t serious about him.

I would agree. I think every interview I have had has been more than 2 hours and in my field, I am not applying for 1 of 32 jobs out there.

I would say the 2 hour virtual interview is part of a feeling out process and there will be more extensive 2nd interviews in person.

But Harbaugh looks bad for losing to TCU this morning.

I agree with the first paragraph. The second paragraph may be somewhat overstated. The body of work is still impressive.

There's probably initial questions on both sides to determine fit and demands. Two hours sounds about right.

Some good info here;

Also, I didn’t know that Penner flew out to NY to ask a doctor why we had so many injuries(guy probably said our trainer sucks), but it’s still not something I would expect from an owner so that’s a good sign.

You should read the board more frequently. It was posted here a few times. Partly why the field turf was changed. Small part, mostly due to wear from HS games.
