I see you failed to address the fact the catcher placed his mitt in the middle of the K-zone.

On a 2-0 count and Bartolo Colon not wanting to go 3-0 on a base stealing threat, and who as a leadoff man, there's a good chance he's taking 2-0 and making you throw a strike, and if he does swing, odds are he won't hit it over the wall, so Colon threw a get me over fast ball to try and get strike 1.

Gordon just happened to run in to it.

Weak troll at best.

I bet D Gordon has seen less than 10 curve balls with a 2-0 count in his MLB career

Dee Gordon was the only leadoff guy so he was the only candidate for the position.

Pretty much every MLB player, including pitchers can hit a fastball over the wall when they know it's coming.

If you think batters are getting 85MPH fastballs in batting practice, you don't know anything about baseball.

Is Giancarlo Stanton hitting one that completely leaves the yard any less emotional?

Yes it is because the fact it was at the beginning of the game (leadoff) and off of Dee Gordon's bat is what made it so incredible.

There is nothing incredible about a home run hitter hitting a home run. It's what they do.

WHAT!?!?!

That is considered a hitters count and you think he was taking it.

Learn baseball please.

Well, really I'd think the only other superstar on the team hitting a mammoth home run, throwing his arms in the air, looking at the sky with tears streaming down his face would be just as emotional.

Like I said - Dee Gordon is not getting a 2-0 curve ball

Um, do you understand the role of a leadoff man?

A leadoff man's job is to get on base and see a lot of pitches. With a hitter with as little power as Dee Gordon leading off the game, there's a pretty good chance he's making the pitcher throw a strike.

This time he didn't, and ran into one.

Now for one that might have been scripted- the night Ripken broke the record for consecutive games

Brett's 3000 hit. The 2b didn't make too good of an effort

OMG NO, the end of the world, a catcher putting his glove in the middle of the K zone....

It's Dee freaking GORDON... Dude hits a homer every 269 ABS, you can throw it right down the middle of the plate and the chances of him NOT hitting a homer is ridiculously good

It's cute that Cowboy thinks the Mets are actually competent enough to pull off a scripted homer to Dee Gordon
