The other team thinks they are still in the race and becomes a buyer

Yet both teams have almost identical records

One team has a run differential of +100.
The other has a run differential of -34.

The Jays simply can't waste this good of an offense on another season flushed due to a shitty rotation. They just couldn't.

It's been the Jays' problem for the entirety of the GM's tenure. He could've traded Donaldson for Price and there's a chance I would've understood it (although eventually I would've realized what a terrible mistake that was).
