I think Hurley is fascinating. I heard him talk before about his mental health struggles trying to live up to his brother's status as a player, having people boo him in the Seton Hall building and chant, you're not Bobby, how down he was on himself as a human being when he was young--and I think he has immense drive and motivation as a result of those experiences. Enormous chip on his shoulder about wanting to achieve something for himself in life. He's now surpassed his famous coach dad and famous player/coach brother by a longshot, but he is not remotely satisfied and wants to be the GOAT. It's fascinating.

But I think Reddick would have been the better hire.

Just a really hard spot for a college coach to make this jump into this specific locker room. Especially when that coach is not a former NBA player.

Hurley would be awesome in L.A. But he has a shot at some history this year and has a team that could get it done. UK was willing to throw a massive bag at him and he didn't even blink. I think the Lakers will need to throw an insane number at him and give him control of personnel to have any shot to get this done.
