Interesting what "winning" and "home team discount" means to some folks. Bennett was offered more money by 2 teams not named Seattle, yet chose to stay in Seattle.

I loved Martellus's comment on NFL Network yesterday when he told his brother he should come to the Bears, because his brother had plans after football and Seattle is only good for coffee and .com business's neither of which his brother has interest in.

The report came from multiple Bears officials. You'd be dumb not to take it seriously. Teams were allowed to start talks with players on Friday.

Some would say you would be dumb TO take it seriously, definitely a misdirection and attempt to get Peppers attention.

Bears are as tight lipped as the come, these twits on twitter just run their fingers with made up facts.

There is a 3 day window where a team can make offers, just not sign a player prior to the deadline.

That 3 day window , lets teams talk to a player's agent. They just cannot talk directly to the player.
Read on ESPN the Bears were offering Bennet more than what he got from Seattle.

Two teams offered more than what Seattle offered per NFL network. Obviously, Bennett gave a home town discount.
