If they finish any less than 1st in the conference, they're in trouble because they end up with Nashville, Chicago, or St. Louis otherwise. But as things stand, they'd get Colorado in the first round (I think, I can't understand this silly playoff crossover nonsense). That's a huge difference.

Their next 4 are against the Flames, Nucks, Wild and Jets though so they should be back on track shortly. Or completely fucked. Either or.

I'm actually starting to think it might be better for them to blow it.

Not that you should hope for that, because watching your team in the playoffs is always a gift no matter how low the expectations, but I feel like they would be forced to fire Garth and Capuano and maybe they'll finally get someone in there who can turn them into a contender before JT tires and bolts in 2 years.

I really think Capuano is the problem. He refuses to sit any veterans on the team to give a younger guy a shot. Pulock scores the other night. His first NHL goal. Then gets benched the next two games for Brian Strait. I'm starting to think Strait has something on Capuano and that's why he keeps playing him.

Eh whatever, unless we get a lucky draw in the playoffs it'll be another first round exit.
