Does anyone else think Dragic would have been a much better fit than Rondo? I know Rondo I'd a better defensive player, but he is a terrible offensive fit IMO:noidea:

We've struggled for years trying to defend elite offensive players at the guards, we needed a defensive presence there moreso than another offensive player,

he just needs to learn to play within the system we have, that takes time

I know that, but I still wish he would've been acknowledged. It's not like Dirk is going to play much. Seems I'm not the only one that feels this way.

Dallas Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle says Monta Ellis, not Dirk Nowitzki should be an All-Star - ESPN Dallas

I agree with what you are saying but it was a big for a big. It is a nice gesture for Dirk but the All Star game has never been a good fit for him as he does not play street ball or bring the ball down the court and never give it up.

I hope he can still rebound and play meaningful minutes. Should have never gone to NY in the first place.

From CBS

Forward Amar'e Stoudemire has reportedly committed to signing with the Mavericks once he becomes available, according to ******.com.

Stoudemire, who was officially waived Monday, had reportedly been drawing interest from Mavericks along with the Suns, Clippers and Spurs. The 12-year veteran is averaging 12.0 points and 6.8 rebounds in 36 games this season.

Says once he becomes available, guess they're assuming he definitely will be available

I remember when so many Mavs fans had the most absolute hard on for this guy when Dallas got him.

Mavericks to clear space for Stoudemire by waiving Ledo | Dallas Morning News

I still think he has potential and I'm definitely not in favor of releasing him when we could release Smith. Smith sucks and has no future on this team. Ledo hasn't progressed like I hoped he would. I remember people being enamored with him though. He's still a good shooter and I hate giving those away.

Martin is happy in Minnesota, and out of the teams reported to be eyeing him, Martin would only be interested in playing for Dallas, Amick tweets.

Should have sat the starting 5 down for a longer period of time and let the bench play. The starting 5 is very inconsistent. And I believe we were out rebounded something like 62-37. No excuse for that.

89 points and the scoring is so inconsistent, most starters shot a terrible %. Pick and roll through Amare may help but Dirk doesn't score the basketball like he used to and the outside shooting is poor most nights. The defense was dogshit all night last night. Kind of hard to watch right now but I expect them to get it going eventually, just gotta get hot at the right time, to make a little run.
