I wouldn't say we have multiple mid round picks to give up with all of our holes and again the point is why would you trade picks and give a bigger contract to Slay than Jones received instead of just keeping Jones? Even if you think Slay is better (he hasn't been for a while) he needs to be a lot better for that to be a smart move
I did not say us. The eagles did well they had picks.. Detriot also did well. They will now get the Ohio state CB and added picks. I don' t see this as a we should have kept Jones then case. Dallas does not seem to be looking to fill glaring holes like CB or Safety with players available. The deal slay got is overall less cap killing then Jones' s in the long run.

I dont know Ryan, but I do like Griffin

Ryan was the one that ended Brady’s career with the Pats. He was a CB with the Titans. He had the pick 6. He is a solid player looking for 10 million a year at least. I think he will eventually be a Free Safety. He doesn’t possess great speed. Great guy in the lockeroom though.

I agree it should be a good deal for Philly. This is why I assumed you meant us. Not sure what you meant

He could have helped us.

Resigned thomas which i like and March whom I hope we can cut with no cap hit if any undrafted guys look good. He was pretty bad when forced to play. With Lee and Thomas back we have the top 4 and Gifford who all should be way above March. I get the STs impact, but I also like to have a spot to stash a cheap young guy who could grow into a starter too. Of course this was a group absolutely crushed by injuries last year and Lee probably gets hurt just thinking about playing at this point, so I guess there's that...

Cowboys re-signed LB Joe Thomas to a one-year contract.
Capable of backing up at all three linebacker spots, Thomas mostly derives his value from special teams. Depending on injuries, he figures to play 200-250 defensive snaps in 2020.

Rumors were they had interest in both Harris and Trufant. Didn't hear Slay's name come up, but possible. I suspect his contract demands would have ended their interest if there was any

Cowboys agreed to terms with S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, formerly of the Bears.
The move comes two days after Jeff Heath departed for Las Vegas. Clinton-Dix had another low-key good season in 2019 and should immediately slide in as a starter for Mike Nolan's defense. Headed into what will be his age-28 campaign, Clinton-Dix has never missed a game with injury in his six-year career.

Cowboys sign HaHa Clinton-Dix to a 1 year $4 million deal. Nice

"Clinton-Dix has 16 career interceptions, four forced fumbles, 5.5 sacks and 33 passes defended for his career."

I mean at least the guy knows how to get an INT. I hope he can become our guy. At the very least rent the spot till we can him.

He's a good player and only 27.
Great price too

At least it's a one year deal.

Because if we're getting the guy I watched with the Redskins and Bears the last two years, one year is all I want of Clinton-Dix. Not a fan.
