Apparently the new HC is not impressed with Heath. Heath was never starting material. I think I only remember one good play when he leveled that Seatte player and gave him a concussion. That and he stopped a qb from scoring on a scramble . Otherwise he "lucked into" interceptions a few times. Why people actually thought he was that great is beyond me.

I don't but he has just got to be better than Collins? Sometimes I think we have players and hype them up to the point we think we cant live without them. Collins was supposed to break out last season and honestly he was not good. LMAO at the raiders for dumpster diving for our washed up players

He made some huge plays last year too. Not a starter, but if he had been the 48th man instead of the 22nd he would have been viewed a lot differently

By himself he can be an upgrade, but let's see what the other pieces of the rotation will be. If he is paired with worse players, then the net product not upgraded.

Agree, I really like this move, but let's see what else we do. As of today Crawford is still here. For a team that is blaming the cap for letting guys go or not being able to sign other guys, that is a mistake IMO. But, if we cut Crawford we really have holes on the DL so we can't do it unless it is hand and hand with signing someone else. Hopefully he is back at a salary more commensurate with his production AND we add another DL or two.

I'm wanting to see who we get to stop the run to pair with McCoy. If we end up cutting Crawford, it'll save $8M, but it may be a mistake production-wise. Hard to tell at this point.

havent seen him in the top ten yet.
Have seen him go right before us though a lot in mocks. (14 to 16)

Honestly dont expect to get him. For some reason we shy away from picking DTs high in drafts.
but it would still be nice.

Cowboys signed CB Maurice Canady to a one-year contract.
Canady played five games with the Ravens last season before being waived and signing on with the Jets in November. Although he wouldn't ordinarily start for most teams, the Cowboys are in a dire position following the losses of Byron Jones and Jeff Heath in free agency. It would not be shocking to see Canady land in Dallas' starting lineup next year.
