Figured there will be a lot of signings coming up might as well put them in one spot.

Cowboys signed TE Blake Jarwin to a three-year, $24.25 million contract extension.
Jarwin gets $9.25 million guaranteed per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It's a good deal for the 25-year-old emerging tight end who should now be viewed as the Cowboys' starter in 2020, assuming Jason Witten signs elsewhere. In a reserved role last season, Jarwin averaged 8.9 yards per target while operating as a field stretcher down the seam. There's some fantasy football sleeper appeal here, especially if Amari Cooper can't be re-signed.

Wow. That's big dollars for Jarwin. I would like to see the details. I think he will earn this deal, but I am higher on Jarwin than most. I'm surprised that he is getting over $8M per.

Jarwin has great potential.

That game Jarwin had against the Giants in 2018 was impressive. Bringing Witten back slowed his growth as a player and in hindsight possibly cost the Cowboys a playoff berth. Jarwin is constantly getting separation deep down the middle. because because teams are stacking the box. I am very high on Jarwin.

No excuse for cowboys to let this happen. Especially with all the cap space. We already know Byron wont be back. This is pathetic
actually it was to be expected.
Once only one tag could get used we all knew it would go to Dak.
No one was negotiating until they found out what happened in the CBA. You are not gonna just get a top salaried player deal done in that short of time. Realistically i think everyone knew he would hit Free Agency. the question is will the Cowboys let him leave?

Really, if you look at the way the Cowboys have done things the last few years, they may live with the tag on Dak, let Amari and BJones sign mega deals somewhere else, sit out the first wave of FA and then sign 6-8 2nd tier guys. With the massive amount of FA's out there, that may not be the worst call ever

Possibly. The problem cowboys have lately is they dont even sign 2nd tier players. They sign scrubs that dont contribute

sadly....I think you may be right
starting to think if an 8-8 team lets their top corner, WR and a very productive DE walk. Are they rebuilding?

There seems to be no urgency in trying to improve the team. Jerry must be asleep at the wheel.

This is a reason the Cowboys haven't sniffed a Super Bowl since the 90's.

I can't help but think how ironic this is. 10 years back we were maxing out our cap trying to snag any solid FA out there that we can just to stay within a whisker of contention, making us all lament the way business was run and wishing we would stop spending lavishly. Now the pendulum has swung nearly all the way to the opposite direction, we are keeping most of our guys, not making a splash in FA and keeping the cap well out of reach. Other than the occasional 11-13 win season, things remain the same on both ends. Still not over the hump.

I dont care that we dont jump at the highest of high price FA on open day of FA.
What I want is those two or 3 moves in the offseason we will make (not counting signing our own guys) to pan out. If that happens I will be happy. I know everyone is eagar to find out what the new is going to be. But to me that is just impatience speaking from fans. I am fine waiting & seeing.

It kind of makes sense. Possibly the new HC wants to go in a different direction? It seems odd though as we used a 1st rounder on Coop and by not extending him we are out the investment. I also think this team needs Quinn back. The team could be in trouble if they dont bring back these two.

If you are right I could see dak being moved. Normally if jerry wants one of his own back he gets the deal done and over pays. This draft has some good QBs in it compared to most drafts. One could possibly be there at 17.
