They could let his contract play out, bring back Romo for much less and be better off....
Congrats. You have literally managed to outdumb all the dumb I've read on here...

I think there's lots of teams ( especially teams with QBs on rookie deals ) who would jump at Zeke . If I'm Dallas my first call is Arizona and I'm offering Zeke for David Johnson and a 2/3. That's a good trade for both teams . Zeke gets his money , doesn't hurt Arizona , you create buzz for them, a new deal matches up perfectly with Murray's rookie deal. For Dallas you get a great back with only 2 years left on his deal so you can address all the other guys coming up for new deals without much worry in the future .

Both teams win imo. Dallas can't pay everyone and no one is giving you anything for a 12-15 QB they gotta pay 30 plus for

No chance the Cards would do that.

No player is worth 30 mil a year, let alone a QB that has no playoff success.
No playoff success? We talking Wentz? Dak has played OK in the playoffs

I've had people say " no way the Cards do that " and people say " thats not enough for Zeke ". So it's probably just about right lol

Didn’t Wentz just get $32 million a year? Perhaps Dak saw that and thinks he should paid higher because he actually plays in games.

If you look at it on a per game basis Wentz is already by far the highest paid player. He's getting like $16M per game

Pretty sure its the Cowboys leaking the 40 million number not Daks camp who are denying it. Like the Spotrac guy is saying their just trying to soften the PR blow when they give him a dumb contract.

Can you imagine being offered 30 million a year and it's not good enough... Wrap your mind around that.... He could buy my house 120 times over, every year... lol, it's like monopoly money to these guy's....

I don't get why people think 32-33 is too much for Dak. Sure in a vacuum it's insane but this isn't a vacuum. NFL QBs make stupid money . His tag number will be 33M minimum if Dallas goes that route and probably 34-35 if they do it twice . So if you're not willing to pay him that per year now you may as well trade him to a team that will . There's no reason for Dak to sign for 30 million per when he will make 67-68 million guaranteed the next 2 years ( after this year ) worst case and then sign for 30+ million per year after that even if he's just pretty good as 30 million will be fringe top 10 salary in 3 years .

He'd be burning money by signing for anything less than 33M per year

He could take less if he gets some stupid guanteed figure.

But Dallas doesn't have any need to do that.

Even then I don't see any reason honestly . Say you get 100 million guaranteed over 4 years and 124M total. Thats still less guaranteed then he'd get by getting tagged twice and then even signing for 28 million per after that with only a 60% guarantee ( 100M to 103M) . I mean it's always good to get guaranteed money since it protects you from injury but realistically how many QBs suffer career ending injuries now ?

So you think Arizona would trade a RB who is already signed and is a perfect back for the modified Air Raid to get the pleasure of breaking the bank, tip toeing Roger Goodell and that he doesn’t fit in the offense?
