Really? Because a fake headline says the player wants $40M the team is stupid?

The $40 million number is fake news. I’m told by a reliable source that he asked for $40 BILLION per year.

If Dak Prescott thinks he should be the highest paid QB in the NFL at $40 mil a year he is a special kind of stupid.

Quoting myself because I could not edit my post. Appears the $40 mil a year was fake news.

I still think he is stupid for turning down $30 Mil AAV ..... UNLESS.... The Cowboys low balled him in guaranteed money.

I could see the Dolphins making a trade for Elliott.
that would definitely teach zeke a lesson for holding out. LOL
The dolphins has no commitment for winning. they are trying to get the #1 draft pick.
Even Saquon would laugh at Zeke. (or feel bad for him, depending on type of guy he is)

Dude is barely a top 15 QB
Depends on when the list is compounded.

Daily, weekly, monthly, yearly?

He's top 20, but I can't say he's usually top 15.

Of guys in his range, I might like him the most as a longterm starter. Trubiski has a shot to take that title though.

Dolphins are a poorly run organization with no star talent. The exact recipe you need for finding a trade partner to trade your star RB to who is looking for a massive new deal.

From what team?
I think there's lots of teams ( especially teams with QBs on rookie deals ) who would jump at Zeke . If I'm Dallas my first call is Arizona and I'm offering Zeke for David Johnson and a 2/3. That's a good trade for both teams . Zeke gets his money , doesn't hurt Arizona , you create buzz for them, a new deal matches up perfectly with Murray's rookie deal. For Dallas you get a great back with only 2 years left on his deal so you can address all the other guys coming up for new deals without much worry in the future .

Both teams win imo. Dallas can't pay everyone and no one is giving you anything for a 12-15 QB they gotta pay 30 plus for

So Arizona is going to trade a very good RB and a high draft pick for the rights to give a ton of money to a different RB with a ton of off the field issues?

Arizona would happily trade a top 12 back and a 3 for a top 3 back imo. Especially a 24 year old top 3 back . The trend in the league now is to surround rookie QBs with as much talent as you can while they're cheap. Zeke fits they mold and "a ton of money " for a RB isn't really a ton in comparison to other spots . DJ has like 20 million guaranteed over the next 2. Even if you guarantee Zeke 50 over the next 4 you're only out 7.5 million a year for 4 years . Thats chump change for a back his caliber

I disagree. Zeke is a tremendously stupid thing to trade a top RB and high draft pick for.

I disagree with this because the Cardinals have not shot at a SB for the next few years. They are in rebuild mode IMO and it makes no sense to spend all that money on a RB. That is of course assuming Zeke would even agree to it and there is no way I give Zeke up for less than a 1st regardless of what player is included in the deal.

Yeah, but Jerry is a shrewd business man. He'll haggle him down to $900 million

That's a good point. Even if some of these numbers that are thrown around are accurate, they aren''t the whole picture. As we all know, the devil is in the details

First question is who are you going to trade with to get a top 12 back from?
Second question is how much are you going to up that 3rd round pick by?

I don't know . NFL changes quick man . If Murray is as good as AZ thinks he is then all bets are off. No one would've said " hey I think the Rams are 2 years from a SB " going into 17 or " hey o think the Eagles win it all in 17 " going into 15. Shit changes quick in this league with the right QB especially if you give them a great RB.

4 years of Murray and Zeke seems like a good deal to me and Dallas wouldn't do much better than DJ and a 2/3 especially given Zeke's off field concerns

I dont know if this is true. The Cowboys already offered him a fair deal. I say dont offer him any more and then franchise him if he has a great season. Dak could very well regret not taking the Cowboys offer especially if he has a bad season.

nvm you said AZ not Atl. :sorry:

Still not interested. I can't do much with a 3rd and DJ gets a lot of money too. I'd MUCH rather have Zeke at $15M than DJ at $13M. DJ's contract looks horrible right now and one of the reasons everyone is worried about paying RBs
