Very surprising if true, very surprising. He isn't even worth $30/year let alone $40/year. I suspect the number is closer to around $35 which is still crazy. The Cowboys are in a tough place bc I feel like this is the year Dak needs to prove himself. Unless he gets them to a NFC Championship or SB he isn't worth big money, he might have the best defense in football and the best RB and a nice WR core...but that depends. Still isn't worth $35-40M but we will see. If he has an average year the Cowboys could be screwed for a long time to come.

He couldn't start for half the teams in the league and the other half would pay him what he's worth. About 20 to 25MM per.

I'd sign Dak this year for 33ish, trade Zeke ( he's the most valuable of the 3 ) and worry about Cooper next year . No one is lining up to trade for Dak or Cooper even though both are good . I think you could get a quality back and a couple picks for Zeke .
