The OL play has not been great since 2016 although it was pretty good last year.Dak really overplaying his hand for a guy who needs a great line, great RB, hall of fame tight end, and top receiver to excel and still struggles versus good teams and defenses. He currently works in a state with no income tax and works for team that gets hurt endorsement deals that he would not get elsewhere. He is on the cusp of being paid like a top 5 QB even though most of us would likely take 10 NFL QBs above him headed into next year. He had a great narrative as a team first guy and he may now blow it for what a few million dollars a year that he would more than make up for with less state income taxes and more endorsements. If we wants to win, then take the over 100 million being offered and run. Ridiculous for a guy with a horrible record versus winning teams since 2016 and who has only won one playoff game and missed playoffs a couple of times in his 4 years with us and had a HC run out of town.
The running game was just not effective too often last year and it was the passing game carrying the running game
Witten stunk and TE play has never been to the level under Dak that it was under other Cowboy QBs
We had really, really good WR play last year, but shit the first 3 years.
I have no problem with people not wanting to break the bank on Dak as that is their own personal opinion, but this BS narrative of it being the players around him just has to stop. This team is just about the same with or without Zeke. Without Dak it's a dumpster fire. Dak had one of the greatest rookie seasons in history in 2016 and was fantastic last year. I love Zeke, but in a cap world, Zeke is the guy we should have let go IMO
