What do we know about the lineman we traded for?
No, I can't blame spell check it was all brain fartYou need to have a stern talk with your spell check.
Not too much. Won a starting job as a rookie, tore his ACL and never got it back. Seemed some at KC expected him too but didn't. Probably just good enough to keep us from bringing back CooperWhat do we know about the lineman we traded for?
I won't go that far. Jerry won't cut a guy for money alone. As a matter of fact very few Cowboy starters have been cut for money reasons alone that I can recall. But, I think they are more aware of how important it is to be "cap smart" than ever before. Watching every other team sign big $ FAs when you can't because you f'ed up your cap so bad and seeing the consequences of it will do that to a team. Looks like we finally got the point over the last couple of years that just because you can make the Math work it doesn't mean it isn't a problem.I disagree. Jerry is more about those dollars. If he was about winning, ET would be a cowboy now!!
Jerry is all about dollars, yet the team lived in cap hell for years?I disagree. Jerry is more about those dollars. If he was about winning, ET would be a cowboy now!!
Jerry is about making money, more then winning at this point IMO. ET would not put us in cap hell like the past, but help us to be a great defense and get us closer to the SB.Jerry is all about dollars, yet the team lived in cap hell for years?
Yes Jerry wants to make money but he is more than willing to spend all he can on the Cowboys roster.Jerry is about making money, more then winning at this point IMO. ET would not put us in cap hell like the past, but help us to be a great defense and get us closer to the SB.
I think the "cash" side of the salaries is kind of meaningless to Jerry as crazy as that sounds. Is the team worried about giving a 29 yo safety $70M, yes I think so But, it's the cap impact, not the paying of the actual dollars that I think concerns them...plus the 2nd round pick.Jerry is about making money, more then winning at this point IMO. I agree, but i want win!! It has been 23 years!!! I would feel lot better about this team with ET.I think the "cash" side of the salaries is kind of meaningless to Jerry as crazy as that sounds. Wow, a little off topic here but did anyone see the cheap shot Lenoir gave with 9 seconds to go in the game.
No, Lenoir was still playing with 9 seconds left? I guess that was a pretty clear sign. Glad he is on the PS. He is a guy that can step in if needed. Still torn on Noah Brown. Would have preferred Thompson - was excited to see him on some go routes. I guess to be fair I really liked Brown and kind of lost interest because of the injuries this preseason. So maybe once healthy he can be a big target for them.Wow, a little off topic here but did anyone see the cheap shot Lenoir gave with 9 seconds to go in the game.
Not real sure I give a fuck right now. Still pissed over the Bailey thing.
Oh, I like that. Thompson probably better right now and keeps Brown around to see what he grows intoI turned it on with 15 seconds left. Houston punts it in the end zone. Lenoir was the PR. One of the gunners for Houston was looking back for the ball. Lenoir ear holed him and got a personal foul.
As far as Brown. I read he is headed to IR and THOMPSON will be resigned.
Because we play 3 TEs at times so keeping 4 is kind of natural. Plus, they may not be ready to put one of Rico or Schultz on the 46 man game day roster but seemingly don't want to lose them. We may find out which next week. Olawale can be the emergency RB so we can get by with just two. At QB regardless of what we want to think it seems the team thinks Rush is the better backup right now but they like White enough that they want him for the long run. At some time Rush will go away but right now they need him. I for one agree with keeping 3 and am fine with it.This cut down just seemed crazy weird this year. Not sure why we go 3 Qb's and 4 TE's. Seems wasted space coulda been used elsewhere.
