And here in lies the rub... It's a matter of Cutler. IF you, whoever you are, don't like Jay... that is the way you spin it. Get rid of him.

Don't think of the QB market, Bust factor of rookies...don't worry about the next 15 years of futile QB play that awaits the Bears. As long as Jay is gone, I'm happy. It just pisses me off.

1. His first start since 2010
2. Against the best run defense.
3. With a Oline who just gave up 7 sacks last week
4. No running game/running plays work against bad run defense- let alone the best in the league.
5. Only 2 days of practice...(this is really odd- they cancelled practice today??)
6. With only Alshon and Marty Bennett as reliable receivers.
7. The leagues worst Defense that has given up the most points in the league.
8. With a play caller/Head Coach who knows his job is over.
9. With an OC who helped create dysfunction
10. A offensive unit that has a history of bad penalties. (and poor ST play resulting in bad starting positions)

I'm going to relish every Interception (there will be multiple) Sack (multiple) and fumble- at least one.

It only makes sense if Cutler is just being defiant and not running what Trestman calls. Or if he is telling him to fuck off behind the scenes. Which I would not be surprised about. Cutler does not seem to be a guy that takes an ass chewing well, even when deserved. There is something going on between Tres and Cutler, and maybe he is trying to send a message.
I will say Trestman made McCown look like a real deal QB last year, maybe he thinks Clausen can run the system. We will see, but it is a rough game to throw Clausen out there for.

Trestman is a coward: BBQ Briggs, Marshall meltdown(s), refused to fire Kromer.... Cancelled today's press conference and only spoke because the NFL writers association complained to Bears that it was a rule. Had to come on... Didn't mention the benching, when it's now reported that cutler was told earlier today.
Why didn't he mention that? Coward!

Kromer saw his offense was shit...worried about job, uses reporter to leak "it's Jay's fault, not mine" excuse. Gets caught and apologies to team.

This may be a classic case of head coach fighting to keep his job. For weeks there were complaints about running the ball. So Trestman ran the ball vs the Saints, even if they were down 3 scores.

Now the Cutler benching - Trestman's way of saying, its not my system that's the problem and I'll prove it with Clausen.

the defense is awful but they seem to be on the field the entire first half of every game with the offense getting shut out and having short lived drives a weekly basis
