Tejada DFA'd

That leaves an open spot on the 40-man. I dont think that means anything important at this moment since Tejada was clearly the first guy to be let go (Goner is likely next, as Panik should be back in a couple days)

I hope not. He is one of the few bright spots of the bully this year.

But the numbers do not fall in his favor...

I would think Gillaspie would be more likely to get dfa'd if Green had been playing 3rd base. It was mostly Tejada and Gillaspie, with Pena rotating in occasionally. Green has been almost exclusively at 2nd base.

I think Green can play more positions, though. And Goner plays a HORRID 3B.

Pena has been solid all around.

And EA should be coming back any day now, so there is a 40 AND 25 spot that will be needed.

Was Cain on the 60 day? If not, there's no need to make room on the 40. However, if Panik and Adrianza both get activated, they don't need all of Gillaspie, Pena and Green. Gillaspie would be the first to go.

He was not on the 60. We are currently at 39.

You mentioned EA needing a spot on the 40 man, I assumed you meant a spot needed to be cleared and thought I missed something.

No one can be sent down, thats why he needs a spot. The Giants are very option-poor right now.
