Released RHP Ian Gardeck. Optioned RHP Mike Broadway to Sacramento (PCL). Selected the contract of RHP Vin Mazzaro from Sacramento. Sent RHP George Kontos to Sacramento for a rehab assignment.

Those are all old transactions. I dont waste my time with ESPN at all anymore except as a backup to FoxSports for scores.

The Ian Gardeck move I wasn't aware of. I knew that they dfa'd him. I didn't know that they released him. Is that true?

They didnt DFA him. You cant DFA an injured player. They released him with the intention of resigning him. I have not heard if they actually resigned him, though. I assume it is just a matter of time.
