So we jettison a left handed pitcher for a AAA outfielder?

If this is FZ's idea of fewer transactions, I'd hate to see what him doing more than normal would look like.

His strategy relays on players that he DFAs not getting claimed, or choosing to stick around if the clear waivers.

it is distracting as hell while treating players like widgets, and players are starting to not want anything to do with it (Rodon was reportedly incredibly turned off by it and Wynns recently bailed after clearing waivers). If I were a player with any control over my own fate, I would not have anything to do with this organization with the current leadership.

Agreed. I hope Long lands somewhere that gives him a good shot. I believe this is his 2nd dfa so he should be able to walk.
