Baggs said after the game Tuesday that it looks like Pagan might be put on the DL Wednesday and Duval may be called up to play 1st and move Morse back to left field.

There were rumblings of this before the game as well.

I like it. Lets showcase Duvall and hopefully increase his value in time for the deadline.

Pagan to the 15 (effective about 10 days ago)

Duvall called up.

That's two cuppos in just a few days. Not that I disagree with these moves, but it does reek of desperation.

If the shoe fits. We aren't even scuffling right now, as scuffling would be an improvement on our current level of play. I see no harm in getting Oxy healthy (if this is what it takes), and Duvall can get some valuable experience.

I am surprised that SabeySabes hasn't dumpster dived (like with Colvin), and two cuppa's in a week is a change in the org's MO.

I was impressed with Duvall from what I saw in AZ in March. Hope he can bring some lumber with him, and hit a few out. Our HR's have been in serious decline of late.

There is talk on KNBR that Belt will be in the line up tonight vs. Cards instead of waiting until July 4th. Hopefully Pagan is ready too.

Go Giants !!

Looks like the Giants are hurting big time with Angel Pagan out. I know Pagan kills the Dodgers. Maybe Belt can tighten things up. Dodgers need to payback the Giants from earlier this seasn.

The Giants announced that Brandon Hicks has cleared waivers and been outrighted to Triple-A Fresno. Hicks was designated for assignment upon Marco Scutaro‘s activation from the DL. While he hit just .162 in 242 trips to the plate, Hicks showed plate discipline (13.2 percent walk rate) and some pop (eight homers) in his time with the Major League club.

He had a good six weeks with the club, and did an admirable job. But the last 8 weeks have just been brutal for him, as he regressed to the mean, and then crashed through several sublevels down. Too bad, had the awesome makings of an all Brandon infield. But it was not to be.

The first three weeks of the season, .250/.412/.475

Since then .140/.281/.412

I guess the planet is flat, and Hicks found the edge and kept going.

Belt on DL; Duvall on his way to Philly.

I updated the roster.

The org is not sure yet whether Belt will be put on the 7 or 15-day DL. Apparently, the 7-day has more restrictions, so the team is hesitant to go that route.

Just announced...

Cain to 15-Day DL. I would assume Kontos gets the call with Petit to the rotation.
