Same, most of the brains they looked at were from people who thought they had something wrong with them.I always wondered how many non-sports brains they were looking at. Easy to not find something if you aren't looking for it.
What they call CTE may just be the natural breakdown of tissue. May be increased in certain ways by certain impacts/events. But just like people used to die of "old age" but now all have a cause (cancer, heart failure, etc) this too will be better understood as we research it.
