You got something for nothing. Cravens wasn't going to be a Skin this year no matter what.
For Cravens, the Skins:
--moved up from 113 to 106
--moved up from 149 to 142
--received a 5th rd pick, 163
--received a conditional 2020 6th rd pick
The terms make it pretty clear that Cravens didn't have much value. Cravens was essentially traded for a 5th rd pick (163) an some spare change. Eh, I'd call it "ok" or "decent".
Purely speculation Shark. No offense man, but you nor I have no idea what discussions took place. This we do know, Cravens has handled himself like an immature, confused person who is not ready to handle the daily stressors of life as it pertains to football business, relationships and the alike. Maybe one day he will really get the professional help he needs to sort out his thoughts that affect him on a daily basis.
Either way, he is a bronco now.![]()
With all the swaps and extra 5th rounder we gained almost 45 points. That equates to a late 4th round pick. I was just hoping for a 4th. Was this deal done too early?
Scherff, Preston Smith, crowder, kyshoen jarret, doctson, sua, fuller, ionnidis is a pretty talented group of players in 2 drafts.

I'm not really sure how anyone in their right mind can cheer for the Skins at this point.
They are literally the sorriest ran & operated organization in professional sports.
What a clown show this team is.....
Is this a team you proudly take ownership of as a fan?
people like coach, dean, and that chiller dumbass really need to pull their heads out of their asses
You damn right I'm a Redskin homer! WTF tweets their boss saying I quit? No one with any common sense does and while none of us knows what Cravens really struggles with on a day to day basis, it is Cravens who must initiate the recovery process in person, like a man. Again, we have no clue what discussions (football or personal) our FO has had with Cravens. It is likely this too was handled about the same way Cravens has handled the rest of the situation, poorly. You can play the blame game all you want Shark and beat the crap out of the Skins' FO but at the end of the day, this is a BUSINESS and should be run like one. Investment of money we really cannot fathom hinge on choices/decisions being made by immature young people like Cravens who in turn are affecting the very same people who are paying those millions to him. In this case, I'm fine with siding with the FO and moving Cravens. Look, we lose having spent a 2nd rounder on him because of his poor choices. It's that simple.Thats the Redskins homer in you talking. And thats cool to be a homer. But let me ask you, when is the last time you just tweeted your boss and said I quit?? And if you have done this, did you not in some way make it known to your boss that you were not happy with the situation at work before hand??
Now if this were any other team we were talking about, I might be shocked. But not this one.

Should have waited till draft day I feel
So please clarify - what should we as Redskins fans do at this pt? Cheer against the team. You apparently can't comprehend the fact that perhaps we as fans can acknowledge the problems for this team & also hate Allen/Snyder but still root for the team. What is wrong with that? Please - let's keep it civil - you don't need to name call & label me as an idiot. Just trying to understand your pt.
I do proudly call myself a Redskins fan & it has nothing to do with the ownership or front office. It has to do with being emotionally attached to this team for a long time & no owner, coach, player, media type or rival fan is EVER going to change that. If you see it differently - NP - again changing fan bases is never an option for me.

The way I understand Cravens retiring is that it goes well beyond just concussions. He had suffered a couple of injuries and knew something was wrong. The team doctors told him everything was good to go and told him to get back on the field. He went to an independent doctor who told him he was much more hurt than he even realized and shouldn't trust those team doctors. So he became very leery of the Redskins organization and how they were taking care of him. Hard to want to put full effort into an organization when you don't think they care about you one bit.
Unethical business practices - CHECK
Lack of respect for fan base - CHECK
Shitty product on the field - CHECK
Laughing stock of the league - CHECK
Arrogance level so high to understand you are losing fans and ruining (ruined) a once a proud organization and to not care enough to self evaluate and make changes - CHECK
Hate to break it to you.... Allen and Snyder are the team. Rooting for this team is supporting their ineptitude, practically rationalizing it to an extent.
Only thing that could make me proud of the "Redskins" as in t he idea of the Redskins, is if there was a fan wide boycott with <65% participation
Financially ruining Snyder. Leading to Bruce Allens dismissal and ultimate sale of the team.... I'd come back 200% waving a flag even if they went 0-16 because at least I would know they are taking the measures to do the right thing. Right now they are doing everything, but the right thing.
I really think the NFL should remove Snyder. Its really disgusting what he has done to this franchise in 20 years. This wouldnt be a new precedent as the NBA took measures in at what they viewed at the time the right thing to do to prevent a franchise from ruining itself.
That seems to be a running theme with this team. But dont tell some people that.
Total copout & bullshit. There are tons of NFL players in less than ideal situations who give it their all. It is called a J-O-B. No different than you, me or anyone else. I do lots of things on my job that I don't like & where I am pissed with mgmt. Big deal - it is required to get things done & I get paid for it. You are sticking up for Cravens way too much in this situation. Not everything is Allen or Snyder's fault. There is a thing called accountability & players need to practice it even in tough situations.
