If you think Dak Prescott is an elite QB after this game, you are a moron.
If you think Mitchell Trubisky shouldn't be the QB for the Bears after this game, you are a moron.

    I'll address both statements

    1. No one is calling Dak Elite. Some, me included see him as a Franchise QB. There is a difference. If you don't think there's a difference, you're a moron.

    2. If you're gonna 1 performance against a checked out defense to claim Trubisky as a Franchise QB you're a moron.

It looks like that on DEF last night. I'm spot on with my NFCE projection so far...DAL & PHI...but little did I know 8-8 might win it.

Yeah, he missed a few and made a few...That effort last night had little to with #4, but I know I wouldn't feel great about stroking a $130- or $140 mil check for a QB on a 8-8 team. I don't think Jerry will have much choice unless he's willing to live with .500 or worse for the next few years with a rookie running the show.

    Who are you talking to?

Prescott...IIRC anyone calling him elite BEFORE this game, and certainly not after....the bottomline is he's going to make a big contract this offseason.

Trubisky...if he wins these next 3 games...or even 2 of the next 3...he will be the QB of the Bears next yr. But as it stands right now, CHI (7-6) after a 12-4 season a year ago has exactly 1 win over a team with a winning record...MIN week 4. Point here...just beating the fading Cowboys is not enough to hang his hat on as the starter for next yr.

Mitch will be starter next year and has shown he gets more time. I do think Chi should draft a QB in mid rounds as insurance and not rely on chase daniels as the back up.

Mitch is showing signs he can be a starting QB in the NFL. I haven't seen enough I'm ready to join wagon, but he might not be a complete lost cause. I'm skeptical he'll ever be more than a mid level starter, but the bears as constructed only need a mid level starter.

IMO Garrett has to go. Dallas has too much talent to be 6-7. Bring in a coach like Meyer and see if he can get the Boys going in the right direction.

I don't see Dak Prescott as a franchise QB. He's continuously missing throws, especially out on the flat. I've seen him miss easy throws to Zeke at least two weeks in a row. Franchise QBs aren't so hot and cold as Dak is. Franchise QBs find a way to win and a way to make the throws they need to make to win these games. Yeah, Dak has a lot of comeback drives and 4th quarter comebacks but he doesn't show and consistency whatsoever. I don't know how Cowboys fans have so much confidence in Dak Prescott, especially after this season. Can't beat good teams, can only perform when playing bad teams. 0-6 against winning teams, 6-1 against teams with a losing record. If that keeps happening, 8-8 is all you'll get. I've seen people calling him elite especially after the first three games of this season so let us not pretend noone is calling him Elite.

I'm not saying its this one performance and where did I say he's a franchise QB? Dak Prescott should be the QB of the Cowboys just like Trubisky should be the QB of the Bears because there's no other options. But Trubisky just out performed Dak Prescott both in the air and on his feet. There's talks of whether Trubisky should be the QB for the Bears. Right now, the answer SHOULD be yes, just like the answer should be yes with Dak. But that in no way makes them Franchise QBs. Franchise QBs are guys like Rodgers, Brady, Roethlisberger, guys that prove without a shadow of a doubt that they are the best for their franchise even with better options out there. Trubisky is just as inconsistent as Dak is yet Trubisky has found a way to make the plays and make the throws that his team needs to win ball games. Chicago's defense is a HUGE part of their success this year but Trubisky is getting it done on the offensive side of the ball. 16 TDs to only 8 INTs. Yeah, he's not perfect by any means, but this is also his 2nd full year as the starting QB. This is Dak's 4th year and still missing easy passes and not able to hold his own against good teams.

What I'm trying to get at is...they are the SAME!!! They belong in the same category of good decent QBs that are the best fit for the team they are on right now.

Yeah, the draft position and I think the early success of Mahomes, and to some degree Mayfield probably means Trubisky will at least get 4 yrs since he doesn't cost a ton against the cap, that 5th yr? Not so sure about that one yet....but imo right now he's not a lock to be the starter next yr.

    Should've been gone.

Jerrah has some unique stuff going on in DAL that I'm not sure a big brand HC is going to walk into that franchise and be a yes man to Jones.

IMO Meyer is going to come back to coaching...probably will stay in the Saturday game. I'm not a big believer in his OFC at the pro level, but some NFL team will give him a shot if he wants it.

Ya, he was always gonna be the starter next year. 3 good games in a row means we might not bother bringing in expensive competition but his job was never on the line.

And I'm not gonna harass you about this game. I know how you feel as I felt it too this year.
