The Cowboys offering him anything over the vet minimum is laughable. There was no competition to sign this schmuck.

He hasn't even been reinstated yet. The Cowboys front office got the jump on the competition.

He had a great couple of years in SF but his production fell after that. Not sure how much of that is attributable to substance abuse, but watching him pass rush on a weekly basis he looked very ordinary. It wan't like he was being doubled teamed, he couldn't even beat a single lineman in a pass rush. Maybe having Justin Smith along side him helped his sack totals. He looked the same during his time in Oakland. I would be surprised if he has any of that pass rushing ability left.

Where are the Cowboys fans to lecture us on cap management?

Is this why Dallas practices cap diligence, to fritter away its extra cap space on chronic crackheads and stoners?
Cap management is talking of future cap.
he is on a one year deal with no guarantees. Doesnt affect the cap in any way.
This is basically spending Jerry's money. not cap money.
So if he makes the team, they would have spent just under 1.4 mil. extra on signing him. (since some min. wage guy will lose his job at 610K)

This year's cap is not part of cap management then? Interesting.

not unless we were cutting people to get under it. I seriously doubt we will be flirting with the zero cap left line.

Again if he doesnt have it anymore & sucks & we cut him before the season starts. It cost the Cowboys zero in cap space.

Dont think that hurts our cap management.
If he does well enough to stay on the team he comes at a cheap price. Helps cap management.

Great, glad to hear this won't affect they money needed to sign Dak then, or other players. Your new math is amazing and you should consider becoming a GM with such innovative thinking.

If Dallas didn't have the 2020 cap space to do this deal, you'd have a point. But arguing this one year death as a cap issue is simply moronic.

Is Jerry just looking for attention or something? Because this seems bizarre.

Dallas area rehab centers everywhere thank Mr. Jones for continuing to keep them in business.

They have some troublemakers on that line but talented. Not sure about Aldon though, it’s been 4 years
4 years is a long time to be inactive.
