I think with a statement like like you are talking out of your ass and being a dick.

I remember when Johnson was drafted...... I don't remember you or anyone else on the Cowboys board calling for him. Including myself. I don't think I remember anyone even hinting at him.

Now that he has become all he is .... that hindsight bullshit

Now with Watkins ... I've never said it's realistic. I just think the kid is special. Thing is I'm not calling him something special AFTER he's in the league. I think he is special coming into the draft.

And for the who is going to throw him the ball comment

I'm telling you right now ... Not one Qb being talked about in the 1st round is worth a fuck. So my opinion is grabbing a Qb in this draft just to say you grabbed one in the first is flat fucking stupid and SHOULD get a GM fired.

I agree on the QB's. I'd take the kids from the 2nd round on vs the kids that go in the 1st round this year to have better careers. Garoppolo>Manziel, Carr>Bortles, Murray>Bridgewater

Twist I was taking a shot at your or anyone is with those statement. Hind sight is always 20/20 they say. You and Jarnett are both good posters so keep it cool and be easy. I don't think he was trying to make it personal. :suds:

Where the hell is that coming from? Reread what I said and tell me one thing I said that was wrong. I never discussed Calvin's predraft status in my post and never said anyone else did either. So don't accuse me of making shit up. I was discussing a conversation on here in the last couple of weeks and how my comments, saying a WR (Calvin) was better in one and then a WR (watkins) wasn't better in another could be viewed as hypocritical but really weren't since hte post I quoted talked about that exact same thing. I think you need some sleep dude because I don't know where you are coming up with this or why you even think it relates to you...

And where did I say anyone should grab a QB in the first. If you read what I wrote, I even said this in the same exact post:

"But, that doesn't mean you should take a QB at #1 UNLESS you truly feel that player is a franchise QB. Taking him in thre first doesn't make him a good QB. If they think all of these QBs are 3rd round talents, then why in the world would they take one of them at #1 overall..."

none of the QB's available in the draft are good enough to start for any of the NFL teams needing a QB. would not be surprised to see them draft BPA in the 1st and look at QB in the 2nd or 3rd. which to me means Watkins, Clowney, etc going in the 1st couple of picks

Obviously teams reach for QBs, and will this year as well, it's a QB league. I agree none of these QBs excite me, and I'd hold off and get someone who actually has 1st round talent/grade.

Regarding Smith and Johnson, it's preference... Saying someone needs their head examined for wanting Smith over Calvin is well.. Wrong..

CJ is what, 29, or will be at the start of the year..

Smith on the other hand is what, 25? Top 3 right now at his position..

I'm sure a lot of teams would want CJ, me personally, I'd keep Smith in a straight up trade. I'd also keep smith in a straight up trade to pick Watkins.

You guys are being a little sensitive to an innocuous comment directed at no one in particular and stated just to point out that I was saying that I MYSELF could be viewed as being hypocritical on the topic if you just glossed over it and didn't look at the specifics of the separate statements and assumed in one I was sayiing WR was more important and in the other that OT was more important...

Where the hell is that coming from?

Anyone that would build around Smith over Johnson should have their head examined.

Which I said I would do

So yeah I took it as aimed at me.

But no I'm not picking a fight..... You know me ... Imma come back..... and I dont go personal unless someone makes it ... we can all disagree ..... that kinda back and forth is what football debate is all about

and snook that wasnt at your comment ... (wasnt aimed at you)

Jared Allen signs 4yr deal with Da Bears, per nfl.com

Bears agreed to terms with DE Jared Allen on a four-year, $32 contract.
Aging pass rushers are playing a game of musical chairs in the NFC North. The Bears dumped Julius Peppers, who proceeded to sign with the Packers. Now the Bears scoop up Allen from the Vikings to replace him as they continue to remake their defensive line. There's wisely only two years and $15.5 million of fully guaranteed money in this deal as Allen turns 32 next week and has shown rapidly declining quickness/stamina. Still, the Bears can now offer a solid rotation with Lamarr Houston, Willie Young and Israel Idonije off the edge. Allen had enough juice to net 11.5 sacks a year ago.

Per Mike Gafafolo "Jared Allen deal is $32m over 4 years but voids down to a $24m deal over 3 with $15.5m guaranteed, per source."

No where near the 10M per he wanted. Still wish we knew what others were offering. I have to think it was about 4M a year.

You wouldn't consider $8 mil "no where near" $10 mil? More like no where near 4 mil that some here was suggesting.....

Well since it's void able down to 3/24 I'd say it's right dab in the middle. But then again that's just simple math.

The guarantees would put it @ 7.75 mil so he came up 2.25 mil short of the $10 a year that Ware got. Either way the Cowboys couldn't afford to give him that money & I am glad they decided to spend money on Melton instead......

No problem. Like I said when I said "should have their head examined" I didn't mean it literally, just a figure of speech.
