Seems like we were looking for an F grade from Prisco and we got it with the Gathers pick
I guess it's better than an N/A

Would have liked either ILB over either of the last 2 picks but WTF, why not just draft and hope

Hmmm...

Anthony Brown - DB - Cowboys
Cowboys selected Purdue CB Anthony Brown with the No. 189 overall pick in the 2016 draft.

Brown (5'11/192) was a three-year starter for the Boilermakers, breaking out as a senior with four interceptions. He sports an impressive athletic profile, running 4.35 at the Combine with a passable 35-inch vertical. Brown's game tape is worrisome, however, as he yielded 17 TD passes over the last three seasons, committed six pass interference penalties as a senior, and looked disinterested in run support. Brown is a project with upside who could also be out of the league before his rookie deal expires.

Who is this kid from Eastern Michigan???

They are about to shut down that program......I can't imagine he's anything more than practice squad fodder

C DAL.png Cowboys select: Darius Jackson, RB, Eastern Michigan
A big prospect with 4.37 speed. A reliable pass catcher with the makeup, measurables and athletic traits to earn a roster spot.

Wow....In this draft, we did not take a single value pick. Seems like everyone took picks in front of us (yes including in the first and second) that pushed us towards Elliot and Smith in the first or second round. The Elliot pick was probably the best we could have done absent a trade down for more picks. Some would think we are crazy for not taking Ramsey, but Jerrah and Co. Have convinced themselves they need another WOW player. Hope Elliott lives up to it. Smith was a head scratcher but after the two DEs were picked in front, then I think trader Jerrah won out. Our 3rd and first 4th round pick were reaches and Prescott was a meh pick. Look with the exception of Elliot and a guy not playing next year, we essentially took prospects in rounds 3 and 4 all 3 of which had better Junior or Sophomore years than senior years. Nothing like going downhill heading to a higher level of competition.

The OPurdue pick was eh....will fight for 5th or 6th corner spot and the other 6th round picks were head scratchers that would have been there as undrafted free agents. Seems like our Cowboys thought they were a Super Bowl winner or a top contender and not a 4-12 team headed into this draft. I hope we get lucky and all of these early picks play to their best years in college and have potential, but it sure does feel like a draft that will set us back........

I like this guy and don't see how his university program is a reflection of the kinda player he may or may not be.
