Yeah, makes sensedemarcus Lawerence to Seattle
I read $3M and incentives that get it to $6.25. I will be interested to see how easy they are to achieveDowdle to Carolina 1 year $6.25M
I think every defender we signed had a PFF run grade in the 30s. It’s as if we search them outKenneth Murray coming over from Titans. Good signing.
Two more former first round picks. It’s uncanny how we seem to be more interested in what a guy did in college than the many years since then in the NFL. At least we are bringing in volume. We will need a couple of these guys to step up. Hopefully a couple will.Does any team hold on to those old college scouting reports like the Cowboys do? Year after year we have some of the the worst coaches and we somehow think we are the ones who will turn these guys around
KuppSad to see Lewis and DLaw go
If you could pick the Cowboys scooping up Kupp, Diggs, or Cooper, who you got?
Yeah, for sure. Kupp was like DLaw for us, hurt, but not washed up. Kupp would have a monster year with a guy like Lamb on the other side. Look at what him and Nacua looked like together. Pick your poisonKupp
I liked Lawrence. Too bad he always injuredYeah, makes sense
Me too. That's the point. Should I really be? I was excited about Quinn and Marinelli and Zimmer and Al Harris and bringing in Schottenheimer to help McCarthy who seemed over his head. It all ended up down the same path, with the same results and with me glad they were all gone. Are these going to be the guys to ignore Jerry and run the team like a Football team? Why would that all of a sudden be the case and if it isn't why would anything changeI'm excited about this coaching staff.
Osa is good, not upper tier, and worse than league average against the run. Mazi has been absolutely horrible. Will he be better? Maybe, but making him "the plan" and banking the season on him would be just unbelievably reckless based on what he has done so far. The team has $48M in cap space after these moves. That will go up by about $10M once Micah signs. The cap isn't the problem. The cash, for some unknown reason, is the problem. There is no argument about salaries that justifies ignoring DL this offseason and even if they go there early in the draft it doesn't excuse it because you need 4 good DTs and right now they have 1. Salaries are what they are and that isn't changing. You either pay it and win games or you don't. This team continues to overvalue their own players and ignore outside free agents. It's just bizarre and the #1 reason this team disappoints every single year.a plan. I understand fan frustration, but M.Smith and Osa are the plain.
Washington pays Kinlaw 15M a year with 30M guaranteed and last year he was a free agent that had to sign w/Jets for 7.5M You know his stats with NYJ last season. DLaw (Hot Boys) 3 for 42 with 18 guaranteed? Allen 3 for 60? Hargrave 2 for 30 with 19? There is only so much money for position groups without throwing a wrench in the team view.
I think there several defensive tackles in this draft that are better than Mazi. Mazi needs to be benched. He is not a quality starter IMO. This team will lose a lot of games if they don't add a few good defensive tackles early in the draft. They in trouble if they totally ignore DT in the first three rounds.Osa is good, not upper tier, and worse than league average against the run. Mazi has been absolutely horrible. Will he be better? they have to show restraint to ensure Parsons gets hisThey don’t want to spend the cash. It seems fairly obvious.
As long as they don't wear a Michigan jersey, I am all for one. Schoon, Mazi, and Taco were enough for me.I think there several defensive tackles in this draft that are better than Mazi. This club went 12-5 three seasons in a row. Jerry and Stephen decided to let lots of contributors walk in FA and decided to sit it out themselves. It's not a coincidence we sucked. While it's true Dak was hurt, we were losing when he was upright, the N.O. game comes to mind. I think you've hit it on the head, the club refuses to pay cash. All these moves aren't about signing good players at bargains, it's about signing guys who will accept minimum contracts. Could it all come together? Anythings possible. But they are putting a lot of dependency on the draft, and we have drafted poorly the last two years. They can't just draft for needOsa is good, not upper tier, and worse than league average against the run. Mazi has been absolutely horrible. Will he be better?
