This is a little bit of a hit for ND. Cooks was a good recruiter for ND. Yes he did not like the new DC and wasn't happy that he didn't get promoted to be the DC.

In all fairness, I don't think Cooks had anything to do with leaking the news. I am sure ND didn't want this out before NSD, and from what I have read, it was the OU sites that leaked it, probably intentionally, to cause ND headaches. Probably didn't help that Cooks was involved with the in home with Farrar and is now gone.

Cooks did a good job in TX and LA, two talent rich states, so his loss hurts, unless we can get someone else with a network down there. As a coach, I am lukewarm about his abilities.

I dont blame Cooks for leaving. He got over looked. I disagree about his coaching abilities. I think he has done a great job with the CBs.

I don't blame him for leaving I just don't like that it was leaked like it was and I've lost some respect for both him and Oklahoma for it.
