I know it's more the honor than the game, but at least we'll have somebody in the Pro Bowl for a change. Been awhile since a Rams helmet was seen in the game.
Because the Rams have one great DE means they don't need another?
Long is solid, but he is not great and he is not a game-changer. Eventually, teams will start doubling Quinn more to limit his game and Long has shown he can be stopped ( especially if teams are doubling Quinn and Quinn isn't flushing the QB to Long's side of the field- which is what happened a lot last year when Long had 10 sacks ).
Also, Quinn is going to be in line for a HUGE contract extension soon and the Rams might not be able to keep him with the money they are paying Bradford, Long and JL.
Clowney at #2 makes more sense than Watkins. The Rams need a WR like Evans, not another 6'-6'1" WR that got most of his yards and receptions on screen passes. That's what the Rams drafted Austin for.
What are your thoughts on who wins the ultimate DPOY award? I think this gives a little edge to Quinn though I personally think Earl Thomas deserves the NFC DPOY award based on having more responsibilities. Not only is he probably the best Safety in the league in the defensive passing game, but he also plays great run defense at the line and is known to launch like a missile out of the defensive backfield to make a tackle in the offensive backfield or at the line of scrimmage.
I just think Thomas' entire body of work is slightly better than that of a pass rusher. My opinion.
Since 2010 huh? Think about it. That's a long time to not have a single player represent your team in the Pro Bowl. A crowning achievement in ineptitude.
