The buzz on Smashville radio this morning is about someone named Adam Vignan who apparently wrote in The Athletic that a one-for-one Nylander for Saros trade makes sense.

Sounds insane to me and if Nashville made that trade, I would have to cancel my season tickets (lol). Toronto take?

Maybe Nashville feels like Askarov is pretty much ready. Seems like a big gamble to me but if they are not really serious about contending this coming year then maybe it makes sense. I dunno.

Warms my heart that, in all likelihood, any trade the leafs make of core 4 player group will be a losing trade for them. Cant see them winning any trade no matter the gm. They may be able to redistribute the money/skill allocated on the team positionally and free up cap space … but for what … with this ufa group?

Yeah, not a good look by the Flames here. Technically, he's still under contract until June 30th, but allow the man to pursue other opportunities that are out there rather than making him sit on the sidelines for likely a year.

/He doesn't need the money of course, but it's more about treating people right.
