Way too much would have to go right for the Leafs to be anything resembling a playoff team.

I say with all the love on planet earth for this team that I hope things go downhill early and swiftly. I don't see this team getting better for at least 8 years if they fail to get another lottery pick and find a way to dismantle most of the core. Doing so, providing scouting and drafting is spot on, could make them actual Cup contenders within half a decade.
