For a big fellow, he gets banged up relatively easily.
If he had better ice awareness he wouldn't get banged up as much.

Soooo, while we wait
If Nylander does not sign by Dec 1, he cannot play this year. Got it.
But what is his contract status for 19-20? UFA? Same as this year?![]()
Same, with no credit towards UFA status for the missed year.
Just gonna leave this here for Willie to read
Agreed - Gourde had leverage. Willie has none. Not exactly the same situation though.

At this point I’m fine with them letting him sit for the year. Have fun in the KHL.
Why I think what was going to happen?I'm not sure why you'd think that was going to happen.
Why I think what was going to happen?
I mean, I don't want him to but I really don't see any reason at this point for him holding out if the Leafs are offering what's been widely reported and, as I said, he has absolutely no leverage whatsoever.I get it, you were just stating your feelings regarding a particular scenario.
BBQ, anyone?

On a fan level, yeah, I want him on the ice. From a management perspective, if he thinks he can win something here he's got a very strong reality check coming and I'm okay with that at this point. October is one thing but pushing up against the quarter-season mark on misguided principle is just dumb.
At this point, if it isn't a Metro I'm fine with it. Sobey's can suck one too.I'd expect that at Wal-Mart, but not RCS.
/That said, I never shop at RCS, way too busy and I find their stores dimly lit and kind of dirty.
