I recall some mention recently of CBJ losing significant chunks of change.

We can check under the soda and snack machines at CBJ's arena to raise some extra funds. I know those guys don't score a lot of goals, but geeesh, at least have the hand-eye to get the quarter in the slot.

Kind of disappointing, but I'm not too worried about it. For now an NBA team is all that is needed to get the arena built and that's the big thing. It might take a few years, but once the arena is built there will eventually be an NHL team playing in it.

thats all true but it would have been great for a hockey guy to step up and be a partner for the entire project ... in the end ... all the NHL franchise owner in Seattle will be is a tenant of the building which could bring issues

i was thinking more of an Sounders / Seahawks type business ownership arrangement where they share marketing and run the team the same way
