So, as you probably already know Dougie Mac laughed at the Canadiens for taking Carey Price, then ignored his scouts and chose Gilbert Brule over Anze Kopitar. Well, it turns out that he drafted Adam McQuiad in the second round and then before he even spent a camp in Columbus - like literally that summer - Dougie shrewdly traded him to Boston for a 5th round pick.

Amazing as this would be, it is not the case.
McQuaid was indeed drafted in 05, but he was traded in 07 after Mac had been fired.
But fret not, there's still some stupidity there - the fifth rounder that Boston gave to Columbus for McQuaid was flipped in a package to Dallas for a fourth rounder used to draft a nobody. Dallas used that pick to draft Jamie Benn.
