Well, it turns out that he drafted Adam McQuiad in the second round and then before he even spent a camp in Columbus - like literally that summer - Dougie shrewdly traded him to Boston for a 5th round pick.

McQuaid was indeed drafted in 05, but he was traded in 07 after Mac had been fired.

But fret not, there's still some stupidity there - the fifth rounder that Boston gave to Columbus for McQuaid was flipped in a package to Dallas for a fourth rounder used to draft a nobody. Dallas used that pick to draft Jamie Benn.
