Already ordered the Leafs one. Thinking about the Ducks one.
Burke's really lost it, huh.I'm guessing the Flames one didn't garner many votes because who really wants a poster of a guy in his underwear phoning in a bomb threat to Nationwide Arena.
Burke's really lost it, huh.
That rhymes Marge, you know it does.
/In all seriousness, I've heard some good things about Basil, this looks to be a solid hire for the Jackets.
Joke's on you - Avalance isn't even a real team!Too early to drink?
The only hope I had was that Torts would flameout and Bednar, who just won the Calder Cup with the kids, could step in.
Now there is nothing in that coaching cupboard. Hartsburg left, Hinote pretty much isn't allowed near the team (cheerleaders more specifically) and now Bednar is likely gone.
We're gonna wind up with Ron Wilson, you watch.
Not defending that regime because they got literally almost everything wrong for many years, but it's not like picking Brule at the time over Kopi was a huge shock or crazy. He was the third-highest scorer in the W in a season in which the first and second-leading scorers were drafted two years before Brule would be (and the fourth-highest was drafted a year before them) and all played for a Wheat Kings team that made it to the WHL final. I'm sure there were just as many teams that had Brule higher on their board than Kopitar as there were vice versa.
Few things...
1) The focus is how much he deliberated on taking Gilbert Brule over Anze Kopitar. How that was even a question...
2) At one point, they somewhat scoff at the Habs for taking "the goalie". Carey Price.
3) They are offered #12, #35 and a fifth for pick six. That was Marc Staal and Marc-Edouard Vlasic.
