The Gavrikov/Korpi deal was stupid bad. Right now, we pay Provorov around a mil less than LA is paying Gavvy. To make it worse, we spent the first rounder we got from LA on getting Provorov from Philly, and they in turn used it to draft strong looking D man, Oliver Bonk. So we could have simply kept Gavrikov for a little more and had a better on ice product or we could have drafted another high-upside D man. We did neither of those.

Oh, and Gavrikov would have been a far better mentor to Voronkov and his wife is an English teacher. When the Jackets played in LA, Gavrikov had Chinny, Marchenko, Texier and Voronkov over to dinner at his house.
