Before tonight's loss to the Penguins, the Jackets are honoring Jeff Rimer - PxP guy since the inception of the team who is retiring this year. I remembered him from Orioles and Caps broadcasts in the 80's and 90s and was pretty pleased he was here when I got here. He's like your favorite drunk uncle who can never pronounce anyone's name right. But he's such a great guy. I'm gonna miss him

It’s almost unheard of that a GM who consistently churned out quality goaltending can’t put together a sustained run of, at least, regular season success.

There’s always bad luck but in that context he was actually much worse at his job than it seemed at the time.
