They say injuries are not an excuse, but c'mon...

Looking like the end of the line for Voracek. Would have liked to see him get a shot at a cup, but he's gotta do what's right. LTIRetired. Imagine how much different this franchise would be if we never sent him and Couturier (at least the pick that became Couturier) for Fuck Jeff Carter.

We are leaving guys off LTIR so as not to drop below the cap floor... Laine (8.7) and Elvis (5.4) just came back and we STILL have 24m salary in injured players.

There will be a press conference tomorrow at 11am to discuss the current situation with Jake Voracek.

Just don't say the word "retired". We'll need that LTIR space to pay for Horvat.

Pretty much exactly what I expected. Wish he'd have been ours his whole career. Great player, great personality, great person.

After everything, the idea that they would get rid of those guys and keep Miller is insane to me.

For all the shit CBJ took for dumping Bjorkstrand for a 3rd probably worth mentioning he's on Seattle's third line with 3 goals and 12 points in 24 games.

What I am getting from this is that we should be able to get him back for a fourth...

Would JD fire Jarmo and clean house? They need new ideas from the top on down there.

Even if they had a healthy Werenski and Voracek and a capable coach I'm not seeing a team where they were close enough to competing where it was worth committing $22.5 mil on three guys last summer (especially when he could've traded one of those guys for futures).

One of the most frustrating aspects is watching Jarmo draft skill guys seemingly with their future potential in mind only to have him stand by while the coach doesn't even attempt to use them in the role they should be filling. Kent Johnson, Cole Sillinger, Yegor Chinakhov and Liam Foudy are the most aggregious examples. They keep saying they feel Cole and Kent are their future #1/2 centers and they haven't even sniffed KJ on the top line at all, let alone center and Cole is centering the third line. Foudy is checking line wing while trash like Roslovic is on the top PP. I still have hope that Jarmo is not dumb enough to draft guys like that to make them brutes.

They wouldn't trade Laine because he is the centerpiece and Johnny kinda fell into their lap, you have to do that. No idea WTF he was thinking on Gubberson. I don't think the management expected a competitive team this year and were aiming at a decently high pick all along. There's really no way they expected Larsen to be anything but tank commander. But why let him kill the mood and let guys fester?

This was last week. 7 of those kids are in my goalie program, and 4 are on my JV team. I have coached all of them. Was quite a fun day.

I argue with the girl who went bar down all the time because she wears #43 and I keep reminding her it's MY number. She gets extremely defensive when someone suggests she wears it for Tom Wilson and very adamantly points out she wears the number (and her hair) in homage to Scott Hartnell.

He's "famous" for playing video games and skates out mostly. One of my goalies was kind of coaching him, but gave up.
