The proposed deals with Chicago have been all over the place. Dach would be an insane get, but I don't think it's remotely realistic.

I am curious how Chicago plans to fit Toews under the cap this year. Even with the gift they got from Edmonton, it's still going to be close. Especially adding Jones' 5.5m. Debrincat's 6.4 coming to Columbus might help

Debrincat, Boqvist, Murphy, 11 OA for Jones, Korpisalo and 24 OA.

Not terribly surprising. Guy's hurt, will miss half the season and is UFA at the end of it. Seattle would be rolling the dice hard if they took him. This lets us protect one more young guy like Robinson. I expect Seattle to grab Kukan.

Scut Farkus calls it quits. They were pretty hush-hush about the injury but it was called concussion related. But they also said he had surgery which feel odd for a concussion.

Today's the day. I would expect the Jones trade to be announced soon. Some Jackets fans say "No deal" unless Dach or DeBrincat are in it. But they fail to realize that Jones is a dead asset at this point and any two (or even all 3) of Kurashev, Boqvist, and Reichel plus the 11 would be an insane quality haul.


Still don't know how you pass on Hughes or Clarke if either is there but... Of the two here, I would prefer the big defenseman.
