Beauvillier should have absolutely have been flipped at last year's deadline.
The heater he was on, value was never going to be higher.

Guess they didn't know if Mihkeyev was going to properly recover?
no other reason to have kept him

He's just such a hollow player. Kind of the forward version of Erik Gustafson. Great if you have him at $1.5 mil. Don't want much to do with him beyond that.

I want to know who in the Flames brass decided to pick Mason McDonald when Thatcher Demko was still on the board.

If memory serves I think Demko was about to have (or had just had) hip surgery to help his mobility. Might have made him a bit of a wild card.

also, college picks are a bit riskier with the leverage they hold
(as Calgary well knows)

forgot to add from the edmonton game, is that I actually witnessed the Canucks fan Plant. they had a moment where a oilers fan was sitting a couple rows away from me and Finn scared her and then dumped her entire box of popcorn on her head and ran away. she acted all shy, shocked and laughing and when to clean up. She then returned with the Canucks arena crew in full canucks gear (canucks company jacket and shirt) as part of the in arena crew... I always knew they were always plants but its the first time I witnessed it live.

Just to confirm, are we talking 'plant' as in a person purposefully placed in a crowd to stir the pot or 'plant' as in dumb as a potted plant?

Just popping in to congratulate y'all on tuning up a DJ Smith coached, depleted team on a B2B tonight.

But in case my boys do pull this one out always remember that:

BEASTERN CONFERENCE >>>>> LESSTERN CONFERENCE

Stützle >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Pettersdottir

if the Canucks somehow maintain their play/form on the road there could be a legit shot at getting 2 coaches fired on this trip lol

Serious question for Nucks guys though. You watch Vancouver way more than I do. So:

Hronek looks good when I watch him. Always liked him as a player. Can you guys see why a rebuilding Detroit team would give away a 24 year old RHD on a decent contract?

Best guess is that they didn't want to pay him when they have Seider and Raymond coming up.

He has been very good.
Now... Will Canucks want to pay him?
